Regarding Your Feedback + Upcoming Hotfix

There is no need for some of the stuff we've seen in the discussions, which is exactly what gives avsim a bad name. You should still point out flaws when there are flaws, bugs when there are bugs, etc. But be a bit more respectful.

As for this update specifically, really not a surprise. I knew they'd fix it. Hopefully, they take a bit more time to really iron the bugs out. We don't want them to rush it.

The same could be said about human nature in general. So you're basically asking the general public to behave more responsibly in a forum than our politicians do in real life. It's like saying please don't go to war with us, we are just peaceful innocent Indians with no weapons. Well, you know how that turns out. Of course one side will point out that at least one Indian tribe slaughtered some of their people, so it's now ok to kill all Indian tribes. That is how it works in the real world I'm afraid.

Thanks, but nah.   I have other things to do with my time than crawl through the morass of the past week looking for examples to satisfy your desire for "proof" at whatever threshold you require.  My own personal feeling is that someone denying that that's happened a fair bit here is disingenuous or blind -- either willfully, or through their own impassioned perspective -- but I'm sure plenty will differ with that.

And that's fine, I've made my point, some will take it, some won't, and I don't care to put effort into convincing those who refuse to even grant the premise.

I'd rather we all take a breath, put aside the self-congratulations, and maybe everyone has a bit more humility and patience next time.

(Fat chance.)

Um,, it looks like martyrdown on the other side to me. But I don´t care to put effort into convincing you. I have better things to do than ..erm...blindly and disingenously crawling 😉 But sure, you are right, patience and humility. I need that too.

When they say they are fixing the temperature spikes, do they mean the ones in the weather or the CPU and GPU temperature spikes?

I really admire your patience. I really do. How do you do it? I gotta work on my anger management issues. 😄

Hehehe.  In the words of my favorite band, "I've tried to make things make sense but I can't, I'm happy just to watch them all and laugh."

But sometimes it's fun to get stuck in, too.  😄

Yeah, it really isn't hard to do that.

What? What do geopolitical relationships from 200 years ago have to do with a flight simulation forum being a bit toxic? I'm sure there's an analogy to be made, but that one specifically doesn't make sense... to me, at least

I wish they could find a solution for that too. Since this update I have an increase by 10°C in CPU temperature, which is almost the limit now. It cannot be my hardware setting since before this update everything had been fine.

It is a pretty far fetched analogy, it was meant to outline the "Us vs Them" mentality, the people enjoying fine with the Sim vs the people wanting improvements. I personally wouldn't have been set off into critic mode had it not been for the dev mode issues (they are far worse and more serious than the regular gameplay issues). It was the combination effect of so many issues in one patch from all sides of the game (Dev, CTD, Visuals, Bandwidth, etc...).

There is a small but fine difference between acknowledging that there are bugs and giving Asobo time to fix them and creating 200+ cry posts in a forum like little children who had their lollies stolen by the grinch.

Yeah ... no .. I don't  have the confidence and trust that these Devs will act with urgency with polite complaint. So have got no issue with the affected making their voices heard all over the place until someone gets up off their word not allowed and speaks up.

Mind you this wouldn't have been a problem if BEFORE the service update the devs said. In the event of any major bugs or issues we will triage it and plan to issue Hotfixes shortly after release That would have cooled off a fair bit of reasonable people.

But nah .. let them stew. and get gaslighted by the other side.

I give you some of the complaining posts were indeed cringeworthy and frankly unnecessary. Yet some of the posts gaslighting valid complaints were absolutely infuriating.

To me it appears that unless there is an major uproar things don't get done in a timely fashion.  If it was an objective list of complaints with no emotion attached im of the opinion we wouldn't see action on these issues till the next Service or world update. That's my opinion. Im sure people are going to jump in and have contrary ones but I've only seen hotfixes issued only if the sim doesn't start and there's an uproar.

So uproar it is.

I was kind of hoping that would be a major objective of the hotfix. We'll see what the hotfix release notes have to say. Try it out and hope for the best. I had zero issue with CTDs before SU5. Very random, but ~75% of flights end in CTD.

Yeah, but also not everyone gets the same CTDs, some people don't get CTDs. Some of these CTDs could be caused by addons, some of them could be hardware/software.

Asobo needs our bug reports, the exact details if what addons we had installed, what hardware/software we were using, what we were doing exactly in that moment the bug/CTD happened so they can narrow down the causes.
