August 20, 20214 yr Eye candy and the likes as well as frame rates are very important and it looks like they are getting there. BUT - wouldn't it be time by now to address the flight model/instruments of certain airplanes like the King Air? It's a flight simulator after all.... Edited August 20, 20214 yr by roland

August 20, 20214 yr For the more serious issues I'd personally prefer incremental Hot Fixes ASAP, nice of them to delay the update regardless. But to be it reads like they're delaying because they need more time with the World content than the Bugs/Issues though, but whatever they have a lot to fix! Or how do these new sliders play with our current LOD sliders? Curious to know about that. Well if you put that slider at ultra, I guess you will need to reduce the LOD or have that slider at LOW with higher LODs or depending on your GPU. Either way, let's wait and tested it out first to confirm how it works. AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display

While I can live with brightness on my 2D screen, display on my VR Reverb 1 (as I read, other VR devices, too) is much too bright and all my attempts to cure this failed so far. Kind regards, Michael Did you try the filters via Geforce Experience (Alt-F3)? I am using: Brightness -20 Contrast +15 Highlights -100 Shadows 0 Gamma -20 That's a big improvement on my screen. Not sure if it works in VR though.

There is nothing wrong with the flight model and until a 3rd party dev makes a study level king air, I don't think Asobo has much to do with each individual default plane

I won't argue with you, but I'm frankly surprised we haven't seen a lot more posters complaining that "Asobo failed to meet their deadline...it's a sign of the disarray of this project...it just proves they're lazy/incompetent...we'll never have a good sim until Microsoft takes it away from them and gives it to a studio that knows what it's doing!!!!!" (This, of course, coming from the same people who would complain the loudest about bugs in the update if it shipped on August 24th as planned, and moan about updates being rushed out without being sufficiently tested.) 😈 Edited August 20, 20214 yr by JDWalley James David Walley Ryzen 7 7700X, 32 GB, RTX 3080

August 20, 20214 yr Really welcome the delay - makes perfect sense. It is to be hoped all the crashes and bugs will mostly disappear - fingers crossed. Many of us have suffered considerably over tghe past frew weeks, the upside is I've done more to optimise my PC than ever beofre and that has yielded results (I am lazy). I have my 7yr old PC to a point where I can do near perfect flights at undreamed of performance - so I feel hopeful. I am running both my PC (i5 4690k 4.4GHz) and GTC1080ti (up to 1.94GHz) - overclocked with no issues. One area that remains grey and of concern is the amount of payware in the Marketplace that is not updated, or clashes with the current release of the sim. (not talking about freeware Community mods). In the past this was the responsibility solely of the 3rd party but now we are left a bit in limbo and as M$$$ft is making a cut from them, so surely they ought to put a bit more rigor in how and when they get updated. There is little clear info about compatibility and some have said on this forum that the 3rd parties may update their product on their own website but not in the marketplace for several weeks at least. I feel if we've paid for these through the Marketplace then it is their responsibility to inform us as and when our paid products are or will be compatible - or not. Currently it's seems to be a free for all (except us). Just my impression of course. Please anyone feel free to reassure me I got this wrong...

I have worked in the software industry and IT for years, and in my experience, delivery is all about quality cost and time - mostly in that order. As a result milestones are rarely achieved at the time they were originally planned. When quality does not meet specification, time goes by the board. I have rarely seen deliveries on time where there are significant quality issues. Quality always comes first, time will always go out to the right. Most of us do not care about DACH or even fps so much as not having CTDs. The delay is very encouraging in this case. If any customers want another crappy but on time release they can stuff it.

So probably it shouldn't be hard to add some realism and simulate airframe loads and stalls. At this time, I can ask the 172 more or less anything and it will never complain. A friend of mine, with some experience at the local aeroclub, says that this is not actually the case 🙂 Also, the 747 needs some love (it's pretty distant from my reference: Aerowinx PSX) and the Dreamiliner needs some serious work. Just talking about flight models: system and procedure simulations will be addressed by some third party addon. A.

The improvements they did some time ago were good, It feels better now than it did at the beginning, but there is still some way to go. I don't see them adressing this sooner rather than later, sadly. I think this is the one major point where legacy sims are still better. This should be moved up the ladder for Asobo. Clearly not game breaking anymore, but still in need of improvement. Laminar Research customer -- Asobo/MS customer -- not an X-Aviation customer - or am I? 😉
