September 8, 20214 yr Yep, liking this update a lot! My system specs below and even so, with about half settings on Ultra, including the new panning one and the rest on High, with LOD2 and nothing on Medium or Low, sim is as smooth as I think it could be. No stutters. Even around large payware airports with glass cockpit refresh on high. Frames locked at 30. I also run a 4 GB cache which I switched on after the last dodgy update as it seemed to reduce scenery popping. Left it on with this update but cleared the cache. It’s like Asobo installed a virtual RTX 3080Ti into my system with this update. 😃 Edited September 8, 20214 yr by RaptyrOne GregH Intel Core i7 14700K / Palit RTX4070Ti Super OC / Corsair 32GB DDR5 6000 MHz / MSI Z790 M/board / Corsair NVMe 9500 read, 8500 write / Corsair PSU1200W / CH Products Yoke, Pedals & Quad; Airbus Side Stick, Airbus Quadrant / TrackIR, 32” 4K 144hz 1ms Monitor
September 8, 20214 yr As my sig shows low power system. But now after WU6 I can run higher graphics setting without warming up my cpu. Everything is Ultra except bloom and motion blur is off. Render and both LOD settings are all at 200. Going to outside view and dragging the mouse around all over quick as I can will not raise cpu temps except 1 deg C. It used to jump up 15 degs if I did that. It also runs cooler in normal flight. I think what is happening is the off screen scenery is not being reloaded as I look around, so there is almost no more load on the cpu at all compared to normal flight. I hope Asobo just leaves the graphics like this forever, I can run better images now. Except they still use taller trees than is some past updates. How far out the trees are visible has always been (and still is) coded to be proportional to their height. When people complained about so few trees in the far distance, one thing Asobo did was to make the trees taller. This was an easy and fast fix. I would suppose they made other changes to accomplish this too, but they definitely also made the trees taller. Which looks odd. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Possibly when uninstalling, not every file was removed. Some config files might have remained behind. Hopefully the main support team can nail it down for you. Definitely something has gone bad for you. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but for the cost of a couple payware airports, invest in a small UPS that can power your PC and monitor for 20-30 minutes so you can do a controlled shutdown during a power failure. It also helps stabilise power into your PC. Has saved me more than a few times. Hope you get this fixed soon. I have even try to disconnect all my USB peripherals and only use keyboard and mouse, but still the same. Really strange one. Something to do with a conflicting shader or texture maybe? I assume you've already done a clean install of your video drivers, disabled the rolling cache, and or reinstalled FS? September 8, 20214 yr Did a bunch of pattern work around KSYR and then took a test flight from Westchester County (KHPN) down the west side of Manhattan and across to JFK. Using Track IR and looking around pretty actively, was mostly smooth. A few stutters, but you kind of needed to be trying to elicit a stutter to get one. It really is incredible performance; they nailed it with this update. I did see my frames drop into the low 30's high 20's as I landed at JFK, but perhaps that's to be expected for a major airport with everything turned up so high. Still, even with the low frame-rates the stuttering wasn't bad. Settings Ultra, 1440p. Terrain LOD 3, Object LOD 4. 32GB Ram, Ryzen 5600x, 3090. September 8, 20214 yr Wow just doing a quick run from EGGP - EGFF in the TBM Left all my settings the same apart from pushed the terrain pre cache to Ultra and LOD to 200. Had a few stutters on the ground (I did pre update though) but once in the air it is simply sublime. September 8, 20214 yr Because of former bad experiences, I was very sceptical about the upgrade, but now It seems to be the best of all them.- My system runs smoothly and fastest than ever I set the precache to ultra without loosing FPS

Anything at all? Another weird suggestion, try turning off crash detection and see if that does something? And are you only getting these low FPS from cockpit view, or also external view? What about the drone? The reason I'm asking about the drone, is that the first test I did after WU6 was loading up in the cockpit at an airport, and I was getting 27 FPS or something. Then I popped the drone, lifted up high and flew around a bit and landed. When I was back in the cockpit my FPS was at around 45. I think it was just a fluke, because the next time I loaded up at another airport, it also began rather low FPS but once the scenery had loaded up it was back up to about 45 in the cockpit. Maybe worth trying. The bug where FPS is lower while on the ground and better the moment you takeoff has been there since SU5, but not to the degree you're experiencing. Are you actually getting 3-7 FPS in the default C172 at a desert airport, or are you talking about A320 at KLAX? I'm using the Z addon to check FPS, and the drone works a bit weird. When you take off you get better FPS the higher you go, but the actual FPS number reported sinks down to 0 if you go really high. Then when you lower the drone to the ground again, the FPS drops but the actual FPS number increases. It acts like there's two spheres of performance. One on the ground, and one in the air. It's really mysterious right now. So weird. You have a really nice high end computer, so you should be getting way more performance. I hope you solve it soon.
