Released: MilViz Porter for MSFS2020

The MSFS 310R will have a complete and accurate set of circuit breakers.  We're taking advantage of the circuit breaker coding options that are new to MSFS that didn't exist in P3D and would have required custom code for it in that platform.

Any chance then that CBs will be added to the PC-6 as part of the upgrade to the full release version ?

The PC-6 isn't my team so I can't say.   At Milviz each separate team makes decisions about their own project, subject to the overall goals and quality standards of the company.   Remember MV doesn't work on only one project at a time.   The Porter team has been working hard for release, but that doesn't hurt the steady progress on the 310 or any other ongoing project.  In fact it helps, as we share solutions and best practices as we learn the quirks of MSFS.

The Bahamas is the perfect place to practice flying this thing. Relatively short airfields, beautiful scenery and good weather compared to where I am in real life at the moment.

I've noticed that trimming this plane properly is really important before takeoff, it's a step which is easy to forget when you're doing takeoffs and landings again and again. She can get a bit squirrely if it's not set right. And please remember to set the tailwheel lock. It helps. 😄
So follow the checklists. They're integrated very well in the sim. Very impressed.

Actually, the remote mountain landing strips of Papua New Guinea would be quite appropriate. Look at this guy's channel.

Very similar looking.

So much good scenery available for this area.

True! Amazing stuff. I have downloaded those airstrips as well, they're really fun in the Cub, but I need to practice flying the Porter a bit more in the Bahamas first. 😄

Yep, there are two packs that compliment each other. One is called Goldenred49, I'm not sure what the other is called. But it's high quality stuff. A few larger international airports too.

Bought it today, mostly because I own a lot of Milviz and I own the PC6. Tried with the nxi, as expected no soap (99,999 alt). Took all of about five seconds to uninstall the excellent WT addon. Another ten to reload the PC6 and I’m having the time of my life!

The view out the door glass is spectacular!

This is my new favorite plane

I'm liking it, also.  From start-up to shut down.  Don't mind the glass cockpit at all.

Does anyone have the numbers to fly this thing by ?

I've checked the Milviz documentation and the official PoH but I can't find details on Vx, Vy, Cruise and economy performance etc.
Everything you ever wanted to know about take-off and landing performance but a bit of an absence of stuff for the bit inbetween !

The best I could find so far  PC-6/B2-H4 Airplane Flight Manual Doc. No. 1820 at Revision 8 (pilatus-aircraft.com)

BTW can anybody tell Asobo that a turbo prop  has no mixture lever but a condition lever and this is not the same thing. Yes, I am in the painful exercise to bind my HOTAS to the new plane and that makes me cranky 🤣
