From Airliner.Net. Still I wouldn't buy if FMC is not fully fumctional as with any MSFS..stuff. I wouldn't buy it as it's from CS, zero interest in their junk..... December 6, 20214 yr Lol, folks get hung up on words --> fact is CS spent exactly 0 effort on the avionics. You're just buying a pretty shell. But, no, let's argue semantics.

Would probably be a little less embarrasing for you I looked at some photos of real 764's and this looks to my untrained eye looks pretty close to the real deal. Of course the question of how deep the sim goes, flight model etc remains unanswered, until someone has tested it. Looks possibly interesting though. Keeping my eye on it.
December 6, 20214 yr The fact is, many people will buy this anyway if they want a pretty looking B767 without 'deep' systems, and (more probably because) all of the liveries to go with it (original and on flightsim.to). Re-painters will be falling all over it. But what does it matter? If you want it, buy it, if not, don't touch it. As someone said earlier, not worth getting nickers in a twist about it - stuff like this will continue to happen. Edited December 6, 20214 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). They use the company name as they have the rights, along with the old models, but they don't really have the in-house capability to make new models any more, just convert the old ones. So for anyone expecting the old CaptainSim quality in new models, this is really just the old company in name only. It is a pity. I would love something like their B707 updated properly for the sim, with a proper flight deck. Their classic B737 was good as well. Although because of the liveries fiasco and the way customers were treated with the B777 initially, it might put me off just a little bit! I liked their 727, had too, no other 727 out there, at least I thought CaptSim was the better 727 after some config changes.
December 6, 20214 yr Honestly after someone figures out how to change the 747 EICAS for a traditional 767/787 “dial” type it’s going to be really close. Sad thing is that honestly with some of the talent out there they could partner with someone to create a new EICAS and it would be a decent entertainment version with basic FMS and VNAV it be. Like why don’t they talk to the guys from SALTY to make something of a partnership? Honestly. I’d be creaming myself for a mix of SALTY and Captain Sim partnership. December 6, 20214 yr Guys c'mon its only priced at $30. I think its ok for its target market. If everything in the cockpit was super accurate then it would be an additional $100. The exterior looks great. I don't own this but believe many people will be happy with this purchase. So maybe CS makes some cash on these and decides to make a few professional level aircraft at a later date who knows? December 6, 20214 yr I am all for the closeness to the 777 cockpit in the -400's, but the cockpit geometry is way different in a 767 to a 777; it is a lot narrower. It may share some similarities, but if they just put their 777 VC to a -400 external model without adjusting the model of the VC some it will look too big. I hope they at least adjusted the size some? 😲 Simon Simon

December 6, 20214 yr What I find both hilarious and tragic at the same time, is how they pop out (port over) a 767-400 model for MSFS, while at the same time abandoning their P3D 767 customers, who I'm sure also wanted a -400, and when asked would they ever bring the 707 or 727 to P3D....this is their response: What is the chance of an updated 707 or 727 to come to P3D???? Same as for the 767 animated main cargo door. Zero Makes me wonder how they'll handle the question if asked about releasing the other engine variant for the 767-400 for MSFS, or heaven knows when they release the -300 with 3 engine variants (or is it 4)? Their track history on dealing with engine variants is....well. 🙄 Oh...and we should be grateful that they even bothered to make a 767 "Freighter" that doesn't have an opening cargo door...according to them: "Believe me, the available GE version and the upcoming 767-300CF, even with some limitations, is the best possible outcome for P3D users. Plan B was to drop the P3D completely right after the recent 737 Classic release.Anyway, the fully functional 767F for P3D is out of question, unfortunately." So...a sincere thank you CS....its no wonder your standing in this community is as stellar as it is. 🤣 Ready to ignore all my loyal haters who think all I do is bash CS. Believe it or not, I actually find time to paint aircraft (for free) for our community...AND spout pure, factual truth about a Dev, in my opinion, is less than upstanding. Deal with it haters. (Dang...that almost sounded like how CS replies to its customers! He must be rubbing off on me) 🤔 Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
