With this latest announcement, while many old customers were waiting for fixes past due for so many years he managed to upset almost everyone that owns 737, 747, and 777. It's quite alarming when so many people are so dissatisfied with certain practices they use or when you hear don't buy from them anymore. I certainly hope that this RSR will wake up and realize that he's walking on very thin ice. ...and what about the lack of installer for the DC6 since P3Dv4 (it was the last)! I really want to use my NGXu more often because it's a popular aircraft in the real world, but it lacks so many features at this point in time... and it can't even properly follow the magenta line. I was ready to purchase the 747 or 777 if they had delivered on the promised updates/upgrades. Now I am eyeing the Leonardo Maddog. I have been their customer since 2012. And I remember, and I am sure guys here too remember, RSR's undelivered promises. And I am positive we won't see any updates for their p3d lineups any more. Which is bad of course, my favorite was NGX though. And I find myself flying FSL Buses, and FBW Neo. So I don't think I will support their endeavors in MSFS with my money. I’m sure he figures it would interfere with DC6 MSFS sales. When P3DV5 came out spring of last year RSR stated all our aircraft would be ported over. A2A only took a few weeks to accomplish that. December 12, 20214 yr Honestly forum username can be check with the email used to buy the product and then we don't have to use real names. Problem is names are freely on the net b/c of that. I hate the whole name thing. This is one of the reasons, I barely use FSLabs and or PMDG forums Heck, we all were promised 777 Advanced Tutorial 2 and that has never happened. Why even promise and never follow-through I am absolutely disappointed with their decision for NOT updating DC-6 to p3Dv5 (I have to registry tweak it) just to install it. Come on totally lazy for not changing the installers (both the sims are 64bit). I have all the P3D planes but it is what it is. FSLabs, Leonardo, A2A, Majestic are a million times better than this when it comes to communicating with all their customers. How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)
December 12, 20214 yr Its very simple. Its just business. There is no more money to be made for P3D compared to the haul that can be made in MSFS. Maybe on occasion RR will throw a bone to P3D but the red meat all goes to MSFS. If you thought sales of the DC6 were great just imagine what sales of a 737 will produce with 2 million users. Its just smart business sense to go where the money is at and its not at P3D anymore. I'm still on P3D and XP if your wondering. I have MSFS but it just misses something that I cant put my finger on. It just doesn't grab me like other simulators have. Sean Green

I agree 100% about the business side, but, if you look at other developers they still keep up with updating and releasing products for P3D while behind the scenes they also work on MSFS products. The problem with this guy is that he keeps on advertising for years by now that they are working on it (LNAV/VNAV, APFD) and other stuff, and nothing is materialized, jumping from one project to another and all of his products suffer from these 3 major issues. And on top of this, if they can't fix something or they think that is taking too much effort to fix it, guess what? It's somebody else's fault. I don't understand why he doesn't have the decency to say aloud and clear and come clean to customers that business-wise for them it makes no sense to support certain products versus putting up all these empty messages, broken promises, and blaming other people for his shortcomings. Regarding his attitude and talking down to the customer it's totally another sad topic. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

At first I was looking forward to the new sim, but after the xbox release and constant game breaking updates it all died and I went back to P3D. The big problem though (has been discussed many times at the forum), is that now most of the payware devs have left our old sim so we likely won't have as many new P3D releases are we're used to thanks to this disaster done by MS.
