July 8, 20223 yr Wow, quite the list. I love how they integrate key add-ons directly into the sim ecosystem like the 1000NXi You can also clearly see they are listening (like decrypting.cfg files) This caught my eye, I wonder if this is the "long haul bug" some have been hitting Fixed potential performance issue over time caused by lights on some 3rd party plane Some new Simvars, API exposures, all in all it's quite the list! Kudos to the team on the efforts let's hope the result equals the effort! Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
July 8, 20223 yr So whose fps has been quadruppled by DLSS???!!! Just curious. 😎 This beta looks quite interesting but 1. I fear it will screw up the Fenix and FSHud and 2. I fear it will screw up my entire install once beta is over.

July 8, 20223 yr Alo check Content Manager after installing the beta - anothe 694 MB for me 9800X3D + RTX 4080 + 64GB DDR5
July 8, 20223 yr I'd love to hear about how the improvements in VR are working in the sim. Are these meaningful improvements or nothing really noticeable.🧐 Edited July 8, 20223 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

I am registered for beta through insider hub, it did a update from the store, 1.05G, then does not update in sim I suffered this identical problem. Here's my summary and fix: The Insider Hub switches from the default installation location to a new XboxGames folder for the SU10 beta. If you have enough disk space for both the current version and the new beta in a different location, then the installation of SU10 will proceed without a hitch. If, like me, you don't have enough space for TWO complete installations of MSFS, then the updating process will balk exactly as you've described. What I did was entirely delete the current version of MSFS -- which freed up enough disk space -- and then deleted the incomplete XboxGames-version folder for the MSFS beta. I then uninstalled MSFS from the Windows startup menu. I then went back to the Insider Hub and started a completely new installation of MSFS. Because I, like you, had registered for the beta, the new installation was 1.27.9.0 (SU10) instead of 1.25. etc. It's still installing as I type these words, so I have no first impressions. But your problem is most likely that you don't have enough disk space for two separate installs. Aerosol density is still 1 in Live Weather Mode everywhere you go, regardless of actual visibility. Asobo really need to simulate visibility/aerosol changes in the atmosphere in Live Weather Mode. This data is available from the meteoblue model like any other variable (temperature, wind etc). That is a bummer... I am not in the beta but can you report it here https://forums.flightsimulator.com/c/sim-update-10-beta/weather-and-live-weather-bug-report/341 so they know they didn't fix anything like it states in the notes regarding clouds? The existing bitmap is a weather radar simulation. It uses precip/water density to generate returns and display those. Updates for SU10 include being able to completely customize (add/remove/change) the precip density breakpoints and the colors at each (thus enabling accurate colors as well as the ability to set radar gain).
July 8, 20223 yr I have a 3090 and can’t seem to get DLSS to appear as an option. Not sure what I am missing just yet. I assumed there is nothing in the NVIDIA apps I need to mess with?

July 8, 20223 yr And its a bad joke! Performance is worse than SU9. in dx12 and in dx11. dx12 is still unusable. DLSS has done nothing except blurred displays and labels. FPS with dlss is exactly the same, well even worse with dlss on quality. But that was expected as cpu was bottleneck from the beginning. Shadows still terrible in dx11 and dx12. Clouds are the same, no visibility changes, nothing. I'm trying to justify it as it is beta. but its hard. 😞 Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64Gb DDR5@6000Mhz cl30, PCIe 4 NVMe SSD, RTX4090 GPU
