Re GSX If I understood the relesase notes correctly you have to re-run the updater to download the lighter version of the assets. Now there is another update again today. I can't really tell if it helps with FPS when using FSLTL. Intel Core i5-12600k, Nvidia RTX 4070 Super, 128 Gigs.

I think you are talking about the landing lights, which are very bright when seen from a distance. I had to disable the sim bloom or I could only see the landing light and nothing else. That could be a way, but frankly, we don't know what that limit is and what both AI traffic and GSX counts are anyway, as they will vary from one airport to another, hence we are still in the dark, and I have done three flights so far with either empty airports (AI not showing regardless whether it was AIG or FSLTL) and vanished airport scenery at destination. Limiting the jetways quality is fine but all my airport add-ons are removed from GSX anyway, meaning that the GSX jetways are NOT used (and I never fly to a default aiport), hence that won't help! What could eventually resolve the issue (at least temporarily) is if FSDT were making some services optional (refueling, passengers, push-back, etc) this way we could select which services we want to use, in my case I would tick (1) VGDS and (2) push-back and leave the other services OFF, until this issue is solved. Worked years without, so it would already reduce the simobjects count if GSX is used only for the user plane.
