You're on to something here...

Not entirely sure about that. My folder looks exactly like yours but I have stellar performance.

They do have a point as that folder should have files in it and not just the "work" folder which is part of the problem. But it's not really clear why some people don't have the same performance impact even though those files are missing.

The PMDG delivered 15+ FPS/Smoothness in comparison to the A310.

This indicates more optimization work is required (at a minimum).

I would wait until this WASM issue is fixed and compare again, as it could be the one causing the FPS loss.

I would much rather have terrain, which I use all the time in the Fenix in mountainous approaches, than weather.

Yeah I'm not sure why the terrain is inop to be fair. Anyone know if there is any aircraft that is on the Xbox that has a working terrain? Wondering if it's related or not.

They could just have good CPUs.

I tried it but < 20 fps was a no go for me. Hopefully they sort it out asap.

Yeah, regardless of the issue causing this I hope they can fix it because this is a really nice aircraft.

I have stellar performance also, the A310 performs just as good as the older ironed out default aircraft.

I'm on a 1080ti/8700K 32GB RAM and fly in VR ONLY, with some pretty high settings.

Now of course I wouldn't bother trying to load the A310 in a place like IniScene's KLAX or ORBX's KBUR V2 scenery and expect to make it off of the tarmac smoothly.🤣

Hopefully they release a timely hotfix patch to fix whatever's eating away at the performance across different hardware.

MCP Bridge as well?

Apparently, they have found the issue.

All encrypted planes using WASM (like the A310) don't compile correctly. No DLLs are being generated, so it run on intermediary unoptimized code. The people who have ok performance just have very strong CPUs, so the effect is less noticeable.

PMDG 737 works fine because it's unencrypted, same for the Wright Flyer (both are also WASM planes).

Can you guys look in this folder and see if your plane compiled correctly? @Swe_Richard @blueshark747@Shack95

it should look like this:

Thank you for reporting this. I've been uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Hope a fix will come soon now.

I also cannot import Simbrief flightplans (keeps saying "pending"). We are supposed to use our Simbrief ALIAS, correct? Tried both with alias and user name, but neither worked.

Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?

Overall I find this A310 pretty good and an excellent addition to MSFS, just got some issues getting my Virpil throttle calibrated on the EFB with rev thrust and idle gotta do some research first.

Imported a simbrief plan without navigraph sub and did a 10 hour flight across the pond from KJFK with full traffic and MP, got around 30fps there. during flight at cruise I got 45-50 fps.

taxiing feels good it turns as you would expect.

takeoff is a bit unstable compared to xp11 but it still feels nice, kinda heavy and long roll although I was close to MTOW and at landing, it feels quite smooth and precise, very easy to butter.

Increasing Simrate to 4x seems fine but sometimes/occasionally the auto throttle goes bonkers and locks on full thrust, pressing the athr button again resolves it.

At 8X it follows the path but wobbles up and down by 500-1000feet so I didn’t try 16x,  the PMDG 737 can follow the whole flight plan waypoints at 8X even 16x for me while still being smooth and “on rails”.

But I am pretty happy with this plane, an old Airbus that has similar systems to Boeing is quite unique and I can’t wait for the other variants.

Simbrief?

FMC -> MENU -> ACARS

Simbrief (In-game using CDU ? MCDU ) import is not working.

The Navigraph Simbrief Log-in using a username on my setup is now my e-mail address and that is not working on the inbuild A310.
