I've been using W11 since the last pre-release Beta, I've had zero issues with it other than the centred start button, but that was an easy fix.

W11 all the way, why wouldn’t you?

Free $$ upgrade, for now.

For anyone who manages a lot of applications, the enhancements to window snapping, and snap groups in particular, are worth the upgrade to Win 11 all on their own.  I've been running it for months, even on the beta ring, without trouble.

The people's flag is deepest red.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it?

I built my PC in August and installed Windows 11 and also have it fully up to date including the 22H2 update

I have had zero Windows or MSFS issues. Super stable and a great looking sim to boot

If everyone took that attitude, nothing  would ever progress :-). We’d still be flying around in 727’s…

Normally I stick with a version of Windows until the absolute bitter end but I decided to put 11 on my new build earlier this month and haven't had any issues with it.  There are some small changes that I'm struggling to adjust to in the OS itself (taskbar labels and grouping...), but I usually forget I'm on a new OS and just carry on as normal.  We have moved into a gaming world where having the most current version of Windows is a necessity, especially if you're launching MSFS from the Xbox app.  As much as I don't want to accept it, we can't really sit on a stable version of the OS and expect everything to run well forever like we could in the past!

I would probably update if my system had a TPM chip. But W/O a V2 version W11 is a no go. Built 7 years ago for X-plane and never updated anything hardware, but I keep current on OS updates, though I always wait a few weeks before updating, let others find problems.

Sys description in my sig.

This system still runs fantastic even as old as it is I use 4 monitors with 30+ fps 90% of the time. Some ultra settings and most lower.

I am amazed at how FS2020 has improved performance.

That guy does the best videos. No annoying music and begging for likes.  As far as his test, not really in the market for a 4090 here, so YMMV with more pedestrian hardware.  I'm thinking 22H2 is last feature update for 10, so we might see some divergence moving forward.

Are there any "gotchas" with respect to a current MSFS install when doing the Win11 upgrade? Are all the XBox Live logins and MSFS (Marketplace version) settings preserved?

I'll be doing a full system drive backup before doing anything.

I'm in no hurry it really offers almost nothing and all is flawless currently.  I should do it before next year and will do a clean virgin install.  In fact, I may just not make the change until such time as it no longer works flawlessly, and that may well be years after they stop officially supporting Win 10.

At an enterprise level we have had some weird issues with Win11,  usually with specialised hardware or things like docks on laptops - but generally speaking they have not been issues that are going to effect someone running MSFS.
