Can you explain what you exactly do there step by step?
thx!

  • Delete all .dat files in AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes
  • Delete all old weather (.wx) and flight plan (.rte) files from AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-73X\work\WX\ and \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-73X\work\Flightplans\.
  • Delete all of my old Simbrief flight plans (.pln) from my 'saved plans' folder
  • Delete old flight plans (.fpl) from \MSFS\Official\OneStore\microsoft-aircraft-a310-300\Data\FMS plans
  • Delete all old DX cache files from "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCache\" folder.

The 1st and the last lines do all of the real work for cleaning up stutters after a big change to the sim or drivers. The rest is just personal preference.

Check the version number of the 787, could be that.

No white dot or white borders anymore for me touch wood. About time!

must be that, just saw it on the MSFT forum:

Hello testers,

Yesterday’s 1.34.10.0 beta build did not include updated packages for the Boeing 747 and Boeing 787 aircraft, and thus fixes from these planes listed in the patch notes were not being seen by testers. The new packages for these planes will be available as a mandatory download upon launching MSFS later today.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

Too sad that I am off with the Fenix now...

An user point of view : the best updates meet the demands of the users on one side and look deeper in the machinery for the future on the other side. Ideal blend.

There is genuinely no way to please some of you.

Lucky, sometimes, like right now, you have to ask yourself, "AITAH?".

And in this case, the answer is, "Yes."

On what models? the default generics or third party? If it's third party that's an LOD issue.

I spoke too soon! I'm still getting white border but far less often. Boo!

How can you possibly know that for sure?

Because I play computer games since more than 25y and it was the case in each and every game like this. So there is absolutely no reason why MSFS should be an exception here. Heck, even MSFS(2020) reproduced some bugs that were solved for FSX 10y before (like some AI traffic bugs).

On a more serious scale: simply because the RC (release candidate) of MSFS 2024 will be ready way before release and certain bugs wont be touched anymore until release. In this timeframe, it might be fixed in MSFS(2020) but the fix wont make it into the RC of MSFS2024. Just like we have seen it several times with the beta builds now, where some bugs were fixed but just did not make it into the SU/WU/AAU update released some days later.

Verdict: it is almost certain, no matter if you believe me or not...

Hi, everyone,

This update: 1.34.10.0 (beta), is for anyone?

I mean... I'm not enrolled at any beta and I didn't receive any update either (I'm in 1.33.8.0).

Can you clarify this for me, please?

Thank you in advance.
