See the release notes Sim Update 13 Beta Release Notes [1.34.10.0] - August 9, 2023 - Sim Update 13 Beta / Beta News - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums For my type of simming, this update is a total non-starter as in 'useless'. Except maybe for the active pause correction,... after 13 updates. There is a faint chance it's been amended on the server side and didn't went into the changelog ... I don't want to give up hope yet. Will check tonight the Tarbes region which looked horrible. Otherwise... I don't see much to make me happy as well. August 9, 20232 yr tuned autopilot VOR/LOC intercept behavior to reduce overshoot in most scenarios. FMS-managed mach speed selections are now rounded to the nearest 0.001 instead of 0.01 Adjusted map and SVT absolute terrain colors to more closely match the real unit. B787/B747: now support data uplink features via Simbrief. allows the pilot to request the route, payload and wind forecasts on the CDU pages. MSFS - the "game" that turned into study level. August 9, 20232 yr I havent even had time to test out the 747/787 update in AAU2 and just read about KURO 787 v2 . They might need updating again i guess. Maybe the last update for 787/747 and then its of to NFFN and RJTT. Michael Moe Michael Moe

August 9, 20232 yr Resources have to be allocated to the new project and pretty much i think this platforms feature set is now locked in. I really hope however they work on doing some large bug squashing. I really need Asobo to stop the bleeding (of textures) in DX12 mode. That's pretty much my only major gripe. I too am of the same opinion of him and marcG. Count me in as well. The aircraft fixes by WT are very welcome and can be carried over to 2024, along with some of the other stuff, including the white dot / box fix. It remains strangely quiet about the tile swapping issues, and I wouldn't expect any more work on DX12 either, which is a shame, as I would use it more if the surface tile issues at the ends of runways got fixed. Cool story, me thinks completely the opposite... especially given that we keep getting SU, WU, AAU, CU updates for v2020, and their roadmap for 2023 is filled out with more to come for v2020.. and oh I don't know, because they've also touched on the very subject of v2020 and how it'll continue to be supported/updated up to and *after* v2024 releases in the interviews below... yup, for all these reasons and more, me thinks they are far from "well and truly moving onto the next sim" 🙂https://www.helisimmer.com/interview/msfs-2024-helicopters-future-msfs-2020https://msfsaddons.com/2023/06/25/exclusive-interview-with-jorg-neumann-and-sebastian-wloch-we-are-in-the-pursuit-of-the-perfect-sim/ Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD
August 9, 20232 yr Commercial Member Lots of great news for GSX Pro with this beta: Quote Jetway API has been fixed PBH should now have correct values If an error occurred while listing jetway, the wrong one will be ignored We reported both these issues to Asobo during SU12 Beta, very happy to know these has been finally addressed. Quote Requesting some data using the NavData API shouldn’t freeze the sim anymore. We suspected something was going on with Navdata, now it's confirmed it was a Simconnect bug after all. Quote SimConnect_EnumerateControllers has been added. Using this function, it is now possible to have more information about hardware devices. This will require some work on our side, but it should make it possible to use joystick buttons to control GSX. We couldn't do that before, precisely because there wasn't any way to know which and how many joysticks you had installed. Quote SimConnect_ExecuteAction, SimConnect_EnumerateInputEvents, SimConnect_GetInputEvent, SimConnect_SetInputEvent, SimConnect_SubscribeInputEvent, SimConnect_UnsubscribeInputEvent and SimConnect_EnumerateInputEventParams have been added to handle input events using SimConnect. See documentation for more information We need to try these, but these functions look to be a better input handling method we asked for a long while. I understand for some this update might sound "minor" in big features, but reliability and SDK improvements are really important in the long run. When something in the SDK improves, you might not see the impact immediately, but dozen of add-ons will be affected, and they'll work better in the end.
