There's a known bug with action cameras that is actively being fixed. In the meantime it's better to keep the engine start active camera switched off (in the EFB option page).

Also check in the maintenance page if your generator isn't broken (press the green dots near the windscreen on the aircraft image until you find it). If it is, repair it and then reset the generator circuit breaker located underneath the yoke. Don't forget the starter shouldn't be used for longer than 30 seconds or it will break, and you'll lose both the starter and the generator.

If you're unable to get back into the cockpit even after restarting the flight, start the flight on a stand or gate, not on a runway, and this should fix the issue.

Well I give up!  I understand there is a user manual for this bird but after searching the FS Reborn website I have come up short.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Bruce, its linked in the EFB in the faq section first topic. Or you will find the link on the official discord in the user2user support section as a pinned topic. Or I can provide you even a direct link 😉

Very much looking forward to some slightly more weathered repaints as all the defaults are way too pristine and hopefully a replacement prop disc as I'm really not enjoying the one it comes with.

(edit - and hopefully a replacement for the horrible white seats!)

(edit - and Piper logos)

There is no additional backup instrument in the current version

I had a generator failure in the cruise.  I had to divert.  I was flying downwind when all three screens went blank.  Lucky I had Garmin Pilot running for the airspeed!

Otherwise a great aircraft.

What is this addon like in terms of systems, engine simulation and flight model ? I understand that it will not reach a2a level but it is close ?

Its hard to compare a2a with any other dev but keep in mind we are talking about different aircraft and engine classes. a2a never did a TP model with full glass and simbrief/navigraph integration. a2a is master in classic piston props. I have posted the manual for Bruce a few messages above. You can take a sneak peak in there and check what you get and even check the included links to the introduction videos: https://fsr500.fsreborn.com/FSR500_Manual.pdf

The FSR500 comes with a complete custom flight and engine model, full wear and tear, failures and a lot of stuff around. Abuse the 500 and it will have consequences like on the Comanche. In parts the 500 is deeper in system modelling, in other parts the Comanche. Both are the best you can get in their class.

You should be able to just press the Space Bar on your keyboard (reset view) and be taken back to the standard cockpit view.

I'd also like to hear from the experts (especially IRL Piper M500 or GA pilots) on these.. looks to be very good in all these areas given the reviews so far and also if going by FSR's previous work with the Sting S4.

Custom in the sense that it builds on top of the core MSFS FDE rather than going fully external like the A2A (at least for the FM). Just for reference simbol confirmed he uses MSFS's CFD tech as well:

Now another one that's a joy to fly. seem really great aircraft from A2A, BB TBM, and the FSR M500, love the EFB. Now if someone makes a Gulfstream (Licensing?) or similar... done to similar standards as those mentioned, that would be the icing on the cake.

You're welcome to check the manual posted above. Real world Pilots on this exact type and other single engine TPs were involved in the Beta process and fine tuning the product. Join FSReborns discord linked in the manual and you can even chat with them and Raul personally. A custom implementation based on the SDK possibilities to ensure marketplace and xbox compatibility in this case was the goal of the product, therefore going external like a2a was a nogo.
