December 15, 20232 yr What it shows is very nice, but there's nothing revolutionary (yet). No speed instructions by ATC (which are a major part of ATC), no AI interaction. Let's wait and see. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

The voices sound excellent, it's clearly thinking and doing things that make sense, I was fairly impressed with the visual approach vectors for 13R at DFW (will be even more impressed if it offloads the right STARs onto 13R when it can). A couple minor notes and phraseology hangups ("ELOEL3 with the FORSS transition" should be "ELOEL3 departure, FORSS transition") and a departure instruction that didn't really make sense (RNAV to WLMRT but the chart indicates expect vectors. This isn't going to cause an issue here, but for example the old LOOP4 departure at LAX, this wouldn't work), what looked like a late handoff from center to approach, but this is a really really good start.

Both are late additions to the scope of the project and I'm sure it isn't finished yet, hence the reason not in the video. Jacek G. December 15, 20232 yr Final vectoring is off and odd... Plus speed instructions are none given... I am sure the window can be minimized, it was just open for demonstration purposes... It is going to take more improvement, before I am interested. But the developer seems committed, which is a good sign.... Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.
