Now you are showing your age LOL, I might have to get this as well for nostalgic purposes. June 27, 20241 yr Yeah I had Red Storm Rising. Their stuff and Spectrum Holobyte..."thems were the days" I'll probably get this just to support the (new/rebooted) Microprose. It's their first go-around with an MSFS plane though, isn't it? I figure it won't quite be up there in terms of fidelity, but I'm ok if that happens. Everyone learns/improves and if the Microprose is like the old Microprose, they will be good eventually. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used
June 27, 20241 yr Just to fly it won't mean much. Simulated bomb runs would make it worthwhile, otherwise it's probably a pass for me.
June 27, 20241 yr F15 Strike Eagle and F117a for the Amiga. My first flight sims. I can remember coming home from the bar somewhat tipsy and thinking it was a good idea to do a night time carrier mission with the stealth plane. The sun was coming up outside when I finally put that polygon plane down on the deck. It was like finding a black cat in a coal cellar during a power outage but that HUD... From then I was addicted to simming. Russell Gough SE London

What happened was that there were all sorts of rumors running around about the Stealth Fighter long before it was declassified. A bunch of supposedly in-the-know outfits decided it was the F-19 and that it was a curvy shape. I remember I had a toy F-19 plane that looked like something out of an old 60s space adventure: Then when the F117 was revealed, Microprose went back and remade the game with slightly better graphics, a plane that looked like the real thing, and a few other improvements. And man did I spend a *lot* of time in both of those games. Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light
June 28, 20241 yr It is a plane i have had the honor of flying on... I flew on the Nine oh Nine replica which subsequently crashed In Dallas I believe. Had the honor of flying with a gentleman who completed his sorties in WWII but on the B-24.... The videos show how cramped it was in there and the walkway to pull the pins. They also had the roof turret off so you could literally stick your head out... Humbling doesn't even begin to describe it... Funny story is I saw it fly over my house and followed it to the local airport where I discovered you could pay for flights. I have done both the 17 and the 24 but unfortunately the P-51 was booked 😞 If anyone is interested... https://photos.app.goo.gl/U7ia9M8orCjgTP6f9 Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
