August 24, 20241 yr Hi, Regularly it takes about 20-30sec before an AVSIM page is loading, or no connection at all (gateway timeout). I have a 1gbit fiber connection (Netherlands) and 99.9% of the other websites I visited, load in a few milliseconds. I don't have a clue why AVSIM is responding so slowly. Am I the only one or do others experience the same issues? August 24, 20241 yr I experience the same. For over a year. It comes and goes. Usually it's fine. It seems to happen more often at certain times of the day, like around 08 British Summer Time. The issue doesn't seem to ever last long. Usually only a minute or so and then speeds are back to normal. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
August 24, 20241 yr AVSIM was offline for me for quite some time this afternoon. It has always been a bit unpredictable (like now when I attempted to post this message), but it usually corrects itself very quickly. Another option might be to launch a targeted funding campaign to upgrade the server and/or forum software.
