September 26, 20241 yr I bought BATC, own P2ATC and am watching FSH and SI with interest. I think it is awesome that we have this many developers racing to build the best ATC for FS. There could be multiple winners. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

September 26, 20241 yr For VFR flyers like me there is only one option at the moment and thats SI. And the unscripted nature of SI I think makes it perfect for VFR. Im going to check out BATC when they introduce VFR, but until then I really dont have any choice… Edited September 26, 20241 yr by Kaboki

This is probably because they want to control AI traffic too. That should not be a reason. FSHud controls AI traffic and it is possible to choose a STAR and runway; AI traffic will be separated from you even if using the opposite runway. Edited September 26, 20241 yr by RALF9636

I'm not going to argue with an obvious fan, however. Please enjoy BATC, but let's not pretend it's anywhere near as good as they would lead you to believe. Maybe in 6months they'll be ready, but it's absolutely not now.
September 27, 20241 yr Wow. I'm really interested in this new feature coming from Sayintentions.AI as listed in their "Vectors to Final" newsletter email. It just keeps getting better and better: VATSIM/IVAO Departure Handoffs Coming Monday We're bridging the gap between human and AI ATC with our new VATSIM Departure Handoffs feature, launching on our experimental server this Monday. What This Means for You: Seamless Transition: Start your flight under VATSIM ATC coverage and effortlessly transition to SayIntentions.AI as you depart controlled airspace. Smooth Communication: Our AI ATC will proactively reach out once you're handed off to Unicom, ensuring an uninterrupted experience. Maintain Continuity: Keep your assigned squawk code. Retain your flight plan and clearances. Why You'll Love It: This feature ensures that your flight remains immersive and realistic, even when moving beyond VATSIM's coverage areas. No more abrupt silences or manual adjustments—just pure, continuous ATC coverage.

September 29, 20241 yr So far I only used SI while flying in Africa, and I must say the variety of accents sounds spot on. I'm looking forward to hearing more as I make my way 'round. 5800X3D, 64GB 3200 RAM, 7900 XT 20GB

September 30, 20241 yr It doesn't make much sense trying to persuade people who don't want to talk to ATC to use SI. As the title "SayIntentions" indicates you can talk to ATC and you have to "say it". Of course you can hand comms to the PNF but all he does is handle the comms. If you want to get a direct/to or an a different altitude you, the PF, have to ask for it, there are no buttons to click. BTW I immensely enjoy SayIntentions. Yesterday flying from LFBD to EHAM I had to ask for weather deviation, got it and reported back on filed flight inbound ADABI. At the DENU3A arrival to rwy 06 I let Brian handle comms but requested a direct/to from YENZO to PORWA (bypassing RIVER). Pushing no buttons, just talking!
