They never do, despite what some want to believe because it fits their narrative. I can't remember a live stream in which they weren't asked something they didn't have visibility on or similar. It's fairly obvious that Jayne picks questions live and is likely instructed to do so depending on how popular they seem to be among the audience. There are included planes in 2020 that I don't use and would like to remove them from my list of available planes. How does one uninstall them? Is it simply a matter of removing their respective folders from the Official folder? Or is it done in some other manner? 9800X3D | RTX 5090 FE | X870E Aorus Pro | 64GB G.Skill DDR5 6000MT/s | WD Black 2TB NVMe

It would make sense to me, but the recent FAQ update seemed to indicate that v2020 Premiums would xfer forward even to down-level Editions... (I don't personally care because I want all the new aircraft, anyway, so I'm getting whatever "old" addons that ends up including) Never mind - seems multiple people heard the planes xfer forward. Jorg wasn’t talking about transferring aircraft/scenery between sims. He was talking about moving items to between editions. Like they can’t make SFO a standard edition airport. September 26, 20241 yr Funny thing is, those poking fun or minimizing my statement have never been a CFI and soloed a student, never given a BFR, and never have been pressured balance safety and profitability. And quite certainly, never planned a cross-country flight through a line of weather with no radar either. So sorry, your opinions are meaningless on this subject. Negative learning is a very real thing in aviation right next to get-homeitis. Anybody else remember when that landing challenge was created by Microsoft/Asobo had had you fly VFR through a mountain pass in the fog to find the airport? If memory serves me correctly, they were asked to remove it. I hope 2024 does include a little bit of aviation discipline, ironically my critics are the usual crowd that claim it's a sim "not a game". I hope 2024 is fun and inspires an entire generation, but it must do so with so acknowledgement that it is serious, ...icing doesn't just cover the windscreen. Edited September 26, 20241 yr by Sticky
September 26, 20241 yr I am still not clear on one thing... I purchased every one of those FF/LL aircraft in 2020... Does this mean I don't need to get the Aviator edition cause they will already transfer to 2024? IF those aircraft are updated, would I get the updates with new features or do I need to still buy the Aviator edition for the 2024 specific upgrades?

On your query about "dangerous storms" lest we forget that Asobo initially "dumbed down" (loose terminology don't pick at it!) up & downdrafts because and I quote ‘‘people wouldn’t know why they are shaken around’’ and ‘‘people wouldn’t know why they are going upwards on a final’’ (link below for reference). Seb & Asobo clearly underestimated the hardcore community at the time and of course since then things have changed for the better in this regard. But....since SU7 practically ruined thunderstorms in Live Weather I am extremely cautious when I see them mention storms of any kind in MSFS24 alongside Live Weather improvements, yes they may of made them better than the mess they made of them in the current Sim, but have they made them realistic? Jury is still well and truly out because we simply won't know until release day, like a lot of things I hope it's one area they have actually far improved for the better, Live Weather needs to be realistic, not a fantasy version of what they think we should fly in, we shall see. Not sure who you're talking about that is poking fun of or minimizing your statement, or debating about "sim" vs "game"? (oh, you're talking about the CFI/student thing I guess). In any case, you stated that MSFS 2024 doesn't have dangerous weather. Per the latest livestream yesterday and various interviews/articles from the preview event there is confirmation of how in MSFS 2024 dangerous weather and their impact on aircraft/flying is being improved. Did you read the below response? Do you feel that is an improvement over 2020 in terms of dangerous weather depiction? Of course proof will be in the pudding when the sim releases... not sure if any of the folks at the preview event experienced dangerous weather, believe maybe might have and saw a difference in entering storm clouds, can anyone confirm? My opinion is meaningless on the subject? Ok then, lol! But here it is anyway: you said "they're literally convincing future pilots that it's ok to fly through storms." It is pretty much ok you fly anywhere you want and do whatever you want, no matter real life restrictions. It's a simulator game! You can do all the stuff which would be illegal or stupid or whatever in real life, but the program is not convincing you to do it, or convincing you it's ok. My point is flight schools and instructors are teaching and 'convincing' future pilots what's ok and what not, certainly not a game 🙂 If a student has bad habits because he is (was) a simmer the instructor undoubtedly sets him or her straight on day one.
