Confirmed...

Just took the Cub up and around downtown RNO.  Performance was actually pretty solid on my system despite it being on the lower side of mid level these days.  Ground detail was improved over default FS2020 RNO area.  RNO airport itself for a generic default airport looked much better than what we got in FS2020 but obviously falls way short of payware offerings.  Currently had to use the keyboard for this flight since it would not recognize my old but trusty CF Flight Stick.  Default key commands seem very different and using what you know from FS2020 was not working.  

After looking at the downtown Reno area I went over to Lake Tahoe.  The default airport is well...very default so not much improved here.  Like FS2020 Lake Tahoe was pretty bland especially over downtown.  I was hoping for improvement here but if any at all exist its very little over default FS2020.

Was very stable on my system except I got some kind of error message when I shut the program down.  So far I like what I see but would like my joystick to work with it and please go back to FS2020 key commands!

Try this, google maps get your residence coordinates for the MSFS map search box and set it as departure, active pause, and fly down your street in the drone. See how tall the trees are. I haven't tried yet, but will.

I am in the same boat... I don't know how I can possibly go back to ANY other sim. This is SO good looking. And so far, flying the 172 has been really nice. You can feel the inertia and the ground physics are very much improved. MSFS 2024 is shaping up VERY nicely. And to think this is an ALPHA is crazy!!!

The trees are still monstrously tall. On my block in real life, they are shorter than all the houses. In the sim they are over twice as tall as the houses. Trees are still a jungle in the city. Like they were in 2020 before the shorter tree patches. And there's too many of them.

OMG the lighting is insane.  Its so realistic I'm flying above my house and the color of sky and surroundings is almost the same.    In MSFS there were some issues, but MSFS 2024 is the real deal.

Same, I just went outside to check and the sky colour is exactly the same. Amazing.

The END key doesn't alternate between cockpit and external views ? Are there new default keys set for cockpit / external ?

Just a heads-up, people should actually read what they are testing. This isn't an alpha for you to report and file every little bug you find, it's a very short-run server back end test where most of the feedback they gather will simply be by you participating, not by reporting.

Only very critical game breaking stuff is worth reporting. You're most likely on a very outdated build, so most stuff you encounter has probably already been caught and I believe it's the same build they've been demoing and brought to events.

So just fly, enjoy what you got and don't worry about noting every little issue you find.
