FSLabs A321CEO leak

Featured Replies

The announced FS Labs Airbus release was the 99% reason why I have made my decision to also get the new Flight Sim 2024 instead of X-Plane 12 with HotStart Challenger + FlightFactor 777 V2 only.

Seeing the absolute stunning superb quality of the new Flight Sim 2024 with every default plane having a better quality than 40€ - 50€ FS2020 addons was the best surprise ever! So awesome, so many default planes are an absolute joy to fly now, especially with the different interior configurations (cargo, scientific research, passenger, luxurious VIP charter). This superb absolute over-the-top quality makes it way harder for developers to create sloppy lazy ugly cheap addons riddled with ugly graphics glitches for 20$ because no one will buy that if there is already such a great selection of greatest quality default planes.

The combination of superb default planes and an already existing Fenix Airbus makes it very hard for FS Labs to top all that...... that´s why I have high hopes about the FS Labs A321, it might become the best Airbus ever released, the ultimate Airbus for home flight simulation. With functional printer, fully simulated ATSU and ACARS and other highly sophisticated MCDU functions never before seen in any other Airbus sim, maybe even the avionics compartment and other areas of the airplane fully modeled in highest quality and accessible by walk-around and maintenance functions, and so much more. The FS Labs release will surely be one of the most exciting days, too bad the wait will probably take 2-3 years from now on.

  • Hey - just wanted to clarify a couple bits here as I've also been slightly misquoted, so figured I'd keep things purely factual. Firstly, for our intents and purposes we own the code running Feni

  • Too little too late.

  • Indeed. And personally, I like the Fenix much better as a developer. Their dev team (and Aamir) is SO nice and forthcoming and open with regards to their developments. I'll just stick with the Fenix.

These environmental effects for sure are nice touch and add to the overall level of immersion. Curious to see what they can do apart from icing…

Really annoyed that they didn't come with the A330 first. That said, I'm glad to finally see them arrive in MSFS. I loved their stuff in FSX and P3D!

Question is what happens to those who opted out from 2024 currently? Would it be "compatible"?

I don't trust any company that is so afraid of the community they disable comments on their videos. It's a major red flag.

Edit: The one exception is SLC. Steve somehow turned his company around and I doubt we'll ever see something like it again.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

A321 with IAE is flying with style. And opting out from FS 2024 is saying no to the brightest graphics fidelity future imaginable. 🙂

Different leagues 🙂 Each sim has it's place and even P3D which when I use it's only to fly my FSLabs Airbus Fleet ...

FS 2024 is not a FLIGHT simulator but rather a WORLD and AVIATION ECOSYSTEM simulator. In some areas it is still very rough, like the new Career mode (only from what I've been reading from other users because I myself didn't even find the time to correctly learn and set my controllers 😕 ). In the "FLIGHT" department although as many write it appears FS 2024 is a step fwd from FS 2020, I honestly from what I tasted so far can't say the same, but the sum of the parts appeals to me more than the alternatives which I use only for specific stuff, like Condor 3 for soaring, and XP12 or P3D for some specific addons.

That is... an expected take coming from you I guess? 😅 So by your reasoning is P3D a "flight" simulator while 2020 and 2024 are not? If that's the case, given that P3D's "flight" core is FSX, then your reasoning is confusing hehe.

By a *vast* majority (from avsimmers to various IRL pilots to other reactions outside of avsim), the opinion is that MSFS 2024 has moved the ball ahead by noteable margins in the flight dynamics and ground handling areas, and that's just based on default aircraft mind you. MSFS 2020 coupled with various good payware aircraft (and some default) is also definitely a good "flight" simulator, to say otherwise is just being disingenuous 🙂

MSFS 2024 has indeed expanded its scope to become even more of a world simulator than 2020 is, and yes it's now also an aviation simulator, and it obviously continues to be a "flight" simulator and by all accounts better on various fronts vs 2020 including flight dynamics, ground physics, water physics, avionics, systems, etc (and at unprecedented levels for default aircraft).

@lwt1971

I am still progressing in my evaluation of FS 2024. So far it has been growing positive, specially today when I tested the new helicopters in my STD Edition and found them somehow different from FS 2020 helis, for the better, regarding some of the usual aerodynamic characteristics of these rotary wing aircraft.

P3D with it's base in FSX's core model, already a "downgrade" in some areas from the fs9 FDM, is different in that it has a more stable, well documented and solid base for developers to work on, including the SDK, I believe and the way they can code, outside of the core, many of the additional features that can overcome the base platform limitations.

MSFS 2020 and now 2024 aim to bring new advanced modelling features to their flight dynamics modelling, and I am sure they're fine tunning it, even more now with FS 2024, so, I will keep experimenting and tasting it the best I can, with a very open mind 🙂

The whole idea behind FS 2020 and now 2024 flight dynamics modelling is, overall, very promising and the approach rather ingenious, about that I have no doubts.

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

They keep raisng the bar.

First day purchase for me... Plain and simple.

Perhaps we dealt with FSL too harshly....

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

Hopefully price won’t be too steep. The latest video looks great though!

I just want their Concorde, A330, and maybe an A340 one day 😁... but likely will be waiting till 2028+ 😅. At least I hope the Concorde is not too far off. I'm all A32x'd out with the current Fenix/FBW/ini offerings hehe.

Not all of these features are new, I take it you were clueless as to how good FSL was in P3D? They are incredibly talented devs that offer a very very deep simulation. Just wish they would have released the A330 they've been working on first.
