November 23, 20241 yr If it's FSLabs it's good... If it runs natively in FS 2024, it's mine on release day... November 23, 20241 yr Really annoyed that they didn't come with the A330 first. That said, I'm glad to finally see them arrive in MSFS. I loved their stuff in FSX and P3D!
November 23, 20241 yr So the great plan to beat Fenix is … de-icing? I can already do that with GSX. And it applies to a very limited set of operational circumstances that one won’t encounter very frequently. Also hardly innovative as, if I recall correctly, FSL already had exactly this implemented in P3D. Next they’ll tease us with bug splatter…another thing we already had a long time ago in P3D. It’s almost funny they state it’ll be FS24 too. Considering they slept 4 years on ‘20, and I highly doubt they had any early access to ‘24, I believe it when I see it.
November 23, 20241 yr Get ready to experience the ultimate realism with the upcoming FlightSimLabs A321 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 (and 2024 as a free upgrade)! In this video, we showcase the intricate icing and de-icing systems that bring this aircraft to life in challenging winter conditions. 🌨️ What You'll See: Watch as ice formation develops dynamically on the airframe, wings, and engines under varying weather conditions. Experience the fully simulated icing effects, impacting aerodynamics and performance, just like in real-world operations. Witness the de-icing process in action, from applying anti-ice fluids to maintaining safe operations in freezing fog, snow, and icy rain. 🛫 Whether you're taking off in a snowstorm, navigating an approach through freezing drizzle, or performing a go-around in frost conditions, the A321's systems have you covered with incredible attention to detail. 🎮 Why It Matters: Realistic environmental interactions with Microsoft Flight Simulator's advanced weather engine. Enhanced immersion for those who demand the highest level of simulation realism. Don't miss out on this deep dive into the incredible level of detail we've poured into the FlightSimLabs A321. November 23, 20241 yr Loved all of their Airbus stuff in P3D and loved Concorde. Very much looking forward to this. And this and the Fenix are not mutually exclusive. Buy both! It's lovely to have a bit of choice flying a particular type. A
November 23, 20241 yr I asked fenix a few weeks ago about these winter like features. They seemed to indicate they have some ideas how to do it, and perhaps will do it after the 2024 stuff is done. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
November 23, 20241 yr How different is NEO from CEO, beside engines. Does it require complex rework? The FSL A321 is not a NEO. Or are you asking in general unrelated to the FSL? In general engines and with that flight dynamics are pretty different, so it's quite some work for a study level addon. Some systems are different in details, although nothing major. I'd say it's at least the amount of work that Fenix had to do with doing the IAEs. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I do believe the systems architecture are really quite different ‘under the hood’, so to speak; not unlike the difference between EIS1 and EIS2 A

November 24, 20241 yr The only think I am wondering upon is if they manage to get a more realistic flare behaviour in msfs or not compared to fenix...

Different leagues 🙂 Each sim has it's place and even P3D which when I use it's only to fly my FSLabs Airbus Fleet ... FS 2024 is not a FLIGHT simulator but rather a WORLD and AVIATION ECOSYSTEM simulator. In some areas it is still very rough, like the new Career mode (only from what I've been reading from other users because I myself didn't even find the time to correctly learn and set my controllers 😕 ). In the "FLIGHT" department although as many write it appears FS 2024 is a step fwd from FS 2020, I honestly from what I tasted so far can't say the same, but the sum of the parts appeals to me more than the alternatives which I use only for specific stuff, like Condor 3 for soaring, and XP12 or P3D for some specific addons. So, to make it short - I am sure I will really like the FSLabs offers for FS 2024. November 24, 20241 yr I know we like to clown on and kick FSLabs but considering they can still spark a 22 page (and counting) thread, scrutinizing their every move even when they are releasing a twin product late into the cycle, they certainly still seem to have simmer's interest.
