I knew you would catch on eventually. Once 2024 is ready for prime time, I will reconsider, but it isn't there yet, that's for sure.

No not quite caught on yet unfortunately, please do tell us again a few more times in the future about how you won't be getting 2024. Awaiting with bated breath...

But in the meantime please don't let it cut into your enjoyment of 2020 tho, it is a fine sim.. be secure in your decision to stick to it exclusively! Nothing wrong with that at all.

I don't have to eat in a one-star restaurant to realize that the food and service will most likely be terrible. Post after post with issues about 2024 since day one all over the internet, users moving from 2024 back to 2020, convinces me that 2024 is a train wreck. I don't need to spend $200 to prove that to myself, that's just stupid.

If one does 30 seconds of research, one can try FS2020, FS2024 and a few hundred other games for 14 days for $1.00 USD

I sure wouldn't spend $200

As somebody who is having few problems with 2024, I feel maybe your are reading too much from those who tend to overstate things.  I fly GA, Fenix and Just Flight RJ. I have copied a lot of my 2020 scenery over plus those mods/sceneries that have been updated. If your personal requirements haven't been met then I completely understand one sticking with 2020 - it didn't turn into a poor sim because 2024 was released.

However, relying on the views of those who can be over emotional about bugs, isn't a good reason to stay away from the new and updated features.  As others have said, you can experience 2024 for next to nothing.

I'm flying with 2024 from PAOT-PANC right now, you can see me on APL2.

If you were sitting at my desk right now you would be very impressed at the improvements. I have thousands of hours in 2020 and hundreds of hours in 2024

I love them both

I am flying on APL 2 right now from KDTW to KATL, in the PMDG 737. Every flight is perfect, no issues at all. 😀 All my add on's work.

I'm jealous. That's what I thought would be the case when I was defrauded into spending £129 on 2024.

That is what they claimed along with much improved performance.. LOL....

All my flights are perfect and all my addons work as well.

Except for my PMDG 😞 but it has given me a new love and appreciation for the FENIX, I'm very comfortable with Airbuses now 🙂

Got to tell you though...

The clouds, the lighting, the physics, the scenery...

I can't wait for the day that you can experience it. I'm confident the dev's will get it there.

Steam refund policy is a guidelines not a strict rule. Request a refund and notify them why you're doing so, 90% of the time they're understanding and will give you a refund.

See what I mean about those who get over emotional?  Just fly those aircraft that work fine in 2024 or just load up 2020 in the meantime.

It "works" for those who just fly simple aircraft VFR and don't use ATC, AI traffic, career, the internal flight planner and other stuff that just doesn't work, like most probably the "professional" reviewers who gave it 9/10 after a spin around Central Park with external view.

Those bloggers and influencer's who got invited to the grand canyon. The gamer guys and the VR guys especially all lied through their teeth and got paid to do so. If there experience of MSFS2024 was generally the same or worse than ours (how could it be otherwise) Then they plain and simple lied. Typically you have to pay people to lie.

First of all he does nothing of the sort, so that hyperbole there does not substantiate whatever point you're trying to make... there are many of us who are enjoying 2024 despite the bugs, and not seeing experience-breaking bugs. That doesn't mean we "ignore" others who have serious issues. But those who make dramatic and exaggerated claims will obviously get responded to won't they.

They said, given that you don't have 2024 or ever had it, and constantly keep telling us that, I'm just curious why you also keep constantly dumping on 2024? 🙂 2020 is a great stable sim, and one shouldn't at all feel any insecurity in sticking to it. Unless of course it's your regular MO of dumping on whatever it is be it addon or sim (or telling us that you have no need for it) until you get it yourself.

A few remarks here.

a) We aren't discussing enjoying the sim here; once again, you’re clearly trying to divert attention from the topic. We're discussing the incompetence of ASOBO's management and the ineptitude of the programmers.

b) There are no exaggerated claims about the abundance of the bugs unless you choose to do so.

c) I agree completely that @Bobsk8 should not get involved in any shape or form in criticizing MSFS2024 if indeed he does not own this software

d) Unfortunately, you are so out of touch to say that issues related to the case of the flight control settings, the basic/core requirement that is so broken, are not experience-breaking bugs. It is beyond any belief.

I don't know if they lied, a lot of press release content is done so in a sanitize and controlled environment where everything has the appearance of working fine. Companies do this all the time. The influencers most likely just simply told us what they saw, it wasn't a lie (This is my assumption based on company practice) but more asobo Microsoft just showed them the appearance of everything working.
