Is it me, or do some of the 'This release is the biggest disaster in gaming history, an insult to the community and to our species itself, and I'm never going to touch it again' people actually seem to be using the sim....?

Tried using it. Too many CTDs. Stock 2024.

Asobo's quality control was always a disaster and nothing has changed in 4 years.

They so much boast that they have a huge team of developers and the only thing that helped a little in 2020 were the public betas, logically to be able to fool people with 2024 they had to close again the betas that worked so well in 2020.

Let's see if Asobo will bring back those betas for future patches or we'll go back to bringing out fixes that fix one thing and mess up 50 like in 2020.

I am holding out hope that MS breaks up with Asobo and finds another developer to work on this project. These people are arrogant and incompetent imo.

Every single post you make is in support of 2024, and you make snide remarks to anyone who doesn’t feel the same way. You are of course wrong every single time you start typing, which is impressive in a certain way lol.

Cool show me one where I say it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Has anyone tested the Bell 407 cold and dark start up with this update?

First of all he does nothing of the sort, so that hyperbole there does not substantiate whatever point you're trying to make... there are many of us who are enjoying 2024 despite the bugs, and not seeing experience-breaking bugs. That doesn't mean we "ignore" others who have serious issues. But those who make dramatic and exaggerated claims will obviously get responded to won't they.

They said, given that you don't have 2024 or ever had it, and constantly keep telling us that, I'm just curious why you also keep constantly dumping on 2024? 🙂 2020 is a great stable sim, and one shouldn't at all feel any insecurity in sticking to it. Unless of course it's your regular MO of dumping on whatever it is be it addon or sim (or telling us that you have no need for it) until you get it yourself.

If you don't like that some people complains repeatedly about FS24, you can ignore them. Because a lot of simmers can't use their flight sim properly, and this should be clear. Broken and uncompleted features airplanes, not a complete available SDK, not a collaborative FS team before and after the new sim release, just to mention few of the many problems that FS24 has. This reminds me the Windows OS saga, since the Windows 95 release, the same Microsoft logic (and the FSX logic, don't forget it). This is the Microsoft world, and we are free to come back to Linux and Xplane.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Why are they "compelled" to?  Going back to 2020 is a perfectly reasonable and viable option.  Anyone who uninstalled 2020 before testing 2024 made a poor decision.

They aren't wasting their money.  The sim likely won't get a price cut until well into next year.  Putting it on the shelf termporarily is not a big deal.

For me it is grown up people needing to make grown up decisions.  Complaining to fellow simmers instead of MS/Asobo accomplishes nothing.  I frequently bring up the "preaching to the choir" cliche.

And you want me to write off £129 and go back to 2020? And I mustn’t complain? I haven’t got space for both! I was misled!

Sorry, I stand by my statement.  We spent all summer and fall talking about this very topic.

Also, why not post all your add-ons and see if you can find what is causing some peoples issues?  Many people are not having issues, so why not look for root causes instead of just getting angry?

If it is a "broken" product, why does it work for some (many?)?  There's got to be some difference.

The issues it has stay when the community folder is empty. Also, it doesn't "work for many" otherwise it wouldn't have so many negative reviews and bug reports on the official forum.

It "works" for those who just fly simple aircraft VFR and don't use ATC, AI traffic, career, the internal flight planner and other stuff that just doesn't work, like most probably the "professional" reviewers who gave it 9/10 after a spin around Central Park with external view.

Incorrect.  Only thing that is broken is career mode.  That obviosuly does not work (and was obvious after trying 1 mission).  I use the flight planner regularly (the official site, not sure if that's different from the planner).

Now, I'm not flying complex airliners, that's another obvious "should stick with 2020" for those point.

ATC and AI traffic - when did those ever work (stock) in 2020?  I mean A330s at St Barths has been an issue in both sims.

I don't have to eat in a one-star restaurant to realize that the food and service will most likely be terrible. Post after post with issues about 2024 since day one all over the internet, users moving from 2024 back to 2020, convinces me that 2024 is a train wreck. I don't need to spend $200 to prove that to myself, that's just stupid.

Well, thanks for telling us for the upteenth time that you have convinced yourself to not to move to 2024. Perhaps a few more times and then I can finally rest easy knowing that is exactly what you will do.

I knew you would catch on eventually. Once 2024 is ready for prime time, I will reconsider, but it isn't there yet, that's for sure.
