Complaining to fellow simmers instead of MS/Asobo accomplishes nothing.  I frequently bring up the "preaching to the choir" cliche.

Complaining directly to MS/Asobo also accomplishes nothing, 4+ years of inadequate 'Quality Assurance', the state of the release of MSFS24 etc etc. People are allowed to vent their disappointed how they wish, whether that's here, the official forums, Reddit, social media, YouTube etc.

Everyone has a right to say their opinion whether good, bad or indifferent and if they wish to beat a drum over that opinion then let them. It's the internet, it's been this way for decades!

Why are they "compelled" to?  Going back to 2020 is a perfectly reasonable and viable option.  Anyone who uninstalled 2020 before testing 2024 made a poor decision.

For me it is grown up people needing to make grown up decisions.

A new car and new piece of software is a bad analogy imho. Very different products with very different business models.

And believe me, I'm not a fan of the software industries business model.

Not what I'm saying at all.

In your analogy, you find someone who bought the same car, and you yell at a fellow customer.

Also in your analogy, you would have to factor modding the car with 3rd party stuff.

Either way, YELL AT WHO SOLD YOU THE CAR, not others who bought it.  I keep getting told that "we can't yell at MS".  Why not?  Go on their social media and do it.

Asobo's quality control was always a disaster and nothing has changed in 4 years.

They so much boast that they have a huge team of developers and the only thing that helped a little in 2020 were the public betas, logically to be able to fool people with 2024 they had to close again the betas that worked so well in 2020.

Let's see if Asobo will bring back those betas for future patches or we'll go back to bringing out fixes that fix one thing and mess up 50 like in 2020.

But with the same customer expectations (especially if advertised and promised in interviews): a better experience compared with the old version.

Nobody buys a whole new car model blindly without first waiting to hear/see/read all the reviews and feedback, unless one is ok to try the shiny new stuff even if it has growing pains and bugs.

For those who equate software that allows them to pretend fly on their computers to something more life/mission critical, and yet are averse to bugs, are rather foolish to have bought said software blindly.. unless of course they get some kind of weird kick out of moaning and groaning daily 🤷‍♂️ (and especially funny are those who upon seeing a hot fix for specific problem X then shout "omgeee it hasn't solved problems A, B, C, ...!! Fire everyone at Asobo!!" 🤣)

I do that too.

But I was specifically replying to your statements according to which it's the customer's fault for having taken "poor decisions" instead of the seller's fault for having broken their promises.

We're supposed to be speaking in English as a rule on this site but it seems hyperbole is becoming its own language here.

Sorry, I stand by my statement.  We spent all summer and fall talking about this very topic.

Also, why not post all your add-ons and see if you can find what is causing some peoples issues?  Many people are not having issues, so why not look for root causes instead of just getting angry?

If it is a "broken" product, why does it work for some (many?)?  There's got to be some difference.

Nobody is infringing on your right to do this at all, as evidenced by the fact that you do nothing BUT complain about how awful it is and how ashamed the devs should be and how happy you are to see them looking despondent on dev streams ad Infinitum.

But then you continue to use it….😵‍💫

God, it’s the worst analogy ever, you might as well compare buying a sim to buying a haddock, but it’s strangely persistent with the white guys on Avsim.

Some time ago I said flight simmers are the biggest crybabies I've ever seen and that continues to hold true lol. We know SU 1 is coming so why are we getting bent out of shape over one problem being fixed in the meantime?

Right? It's crazy. It's like defending a company for charging a premium price to buy an unfinished product! Only madmen do that.

And you do nothing but state that 2024 is the greatest thing since sliced bread, ignoring the many people that have serious issues with it and have finally gone back to 2020. .
