Yea, there has not been much of interest. I picked up a few airports, mainly in northern Ontario where I enjoy my GA flights but it has been a pretty unexciting and uneventful few months since 2024 arrived. I have certainly saved a good amount of money, I have not even reactivated my Navigraph subscription as I have been pretty much exclusively fling GA and I find the new flight planner more than adequate for these flights.

My impression is that a lot of developers are waiting for SU1 to release and prove to be stable and also for the marketplace to launch. Hopefully by the end of the month that will happen and open the gates a little for developers to release things they have been working on. I must say it is difficult to overstate how poorly Asobo organized the launch of 2024.

I think the only addon I've bought so far is BATC. I even cancelled my Navigraph subscription. Lots of mediocre stuff seems to be getting released.

The only addons I'm really interested in is the Phenom 300 and, hopefully, down the line some long range BizJet.

Oh man I wish we had a more detailed Mooney.  Maybe a TLS variant or something like that with Blacksquare-level systems.

I'd murder for a good either mixed glass or steam mooney.

I have still been buying stuff for 2020.  and flying 90% in 2020.  Until they get that Marketplace thing figured out I'm just using 2024 for GA and testing mods. We'll get there one day this year but today is not that day.

I have bought a few things Aerosoft Sacramento and I got the 4Simmers real world cars.  Man those 4 simmers cars look way better than the low res melted looking default static cars even if they skew heavily European. I honestly don't understand why they made the default cars look so bad when they did not have to. The 4 simmers cars look great even from a distance.  Although, they made one of the trucks a yellow Nissan and it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I also updated a lot of my products and discovered a "new" company called GLIDESLOPE PRO.  I was wondering when they would try to make a comeback.

The Carenado M20 not a contender?  I do not fly it much, but it looks OK..

For 2024, I bought Palm Springs airport, upd

Hi Bert, I just bought KPSP Palm Springs from ORBX after reading your post for 2024 version....

I'm sorry to say what a disappointment with the standard of this airport now.

I had this airport in P3D and maybe FSX and it was lovely, highly detailed with tons of extra objects - it was a joy to taxi to the "Signature" FBO and see the planters and flowers and people standing around, the fuel trucks the vehicles the detail on the buildings - everything in the airport was of a far far higher class than it is now.  Is this progress 2024 style (Trying to keep within fast download limits at the expense of detail ) - I hope not. (This should not be an issue as the Airport is actually in my Community Folder on my drive.)

It may be my PC is not configured correctly but as far as I can tell it's ok.

Perhaps your experience is much better .....

Where are they all?  I want hot new juicy addons for 2024!!

I want to give you my money developers!!!

I'd settle for access to the ones I've already paid for, and which are already available to non-Marketplace purchasers...

The only thing I've bought since leaving 2020 behind last November was the COWS DA-40 which is wonderful but possibly a little slow for you?

I purchased that and made a paint for it!  It's a great addon!  Excellent sounds and excellent flight model.

I knew it would take time to get things converted over, but I didn't expect quite this long.

Is there a payware aircraft out that fully supports all of 2024's features?  I know most work fine, but I mean actually supporting the click spots and such?  Not a dealbreaker by any means, but I'm surprised there have been so few updates.

Freeware and payware scenery has been slow as well.  Are developers waiting for the marketplace/SU1?

Hurry up and take my money!

We want a high end Mooney hehe.  Carenado is okay-ish but nothing like an A2A or Black Square.

I don't know if any native 2024 aircraft yet.

From my experience painting liveries with default 24 aircraft, the textures are a different file extension, and there are new texture types if so desired.  I imagine it would be a lot of work to even make a native scenery.

I was reluctant to buy more airports for MSFS 2020, but today I picked up 2 FL airports on sale from flightsim.to & KISM from the marketplace at regular price. Adding more airports, cities, bridges, and lighting has become an obsession. I'm confident that if I ever make 2024 my primary sim, that these wonderful devs will offer updates.

Ryan, did you check out the fselite comparability list?

MSFS 2020, what an amazing sim!
