SU1 just arrived

Went well for me with little to report other than the Few Clouds preset looked really nice and my ThrustMaster seems like a new toy.

There are pilots now in the HJet so I need to behave.

'Our' money?  My money was spent four months ago and has returned four months of pleasure. 2024 isn't 100 percent yet, but is already a superb product.

I’m sure he knows the difference. I think you have mistaken what “he” thinks with what “you” think.

Hundreds of fixes, but, same old same old negativity.

Strange experience just now: I downloaded 8.7GB update from the MS Store, after I clicked on "check for updates" it did that automatically. Restarted my PC, fired up the sim, did some tests and closed it back down. Only then, Xbox App now suddenly tells me that a 8.7GB update for MSFS2024 is needed and it downloaded all again. offensive initials not allowed?

Greetings, Chris

I really, really wish they would revisit the LOD behavior. I hate to see a/c floating without landing gears in close distance. It is even worse when you see one in 100ft distance with landing gears and the one next to it without. Too bad. It seems to be even worse than in MSFS 2020. Just landed at KCGN (default) ... it looks terrible with these aggressive (internal) LOD settings.

Someone here (A dev) posted about that fairly recently, and the feeling I got from it was that even their own models are broken because of the aggressive LOD? So who knows how long (if even when!) that will be fixed...!

To me it looks the same. Same issues, same UI, same old same old. I love having 1700fps in the loading screens.

See you in 6 months.

It is well know by now that the glass is always half empty at Avsim 🙂 Yet, here we all are...!

Ugh, the trees inbetween the taxi ways are still present/

I've found that clearing the scenery index, cache and a pc restart is sometimes required for the fixes to kick in. Give that a try.

With frame gen and gsync on a 144Hz gsync monitor, my performance has not dipped below 144Hz reported by the monitor's own hardware. Flight is EGLL (inibuilds) to LFMN in the Fenix with full ultra and FSTDL traffic. Turned off the "adaptive" thing. This is with framegen on, ofc.

So far, seems impressive.

And where you able to see traffic around you when in cruise? This is main thing which I hate with MSFS24. Not able to see contrails and planes around me in 20nm radius.

DLSS4 FrameGen DLL reverted back to old version 3.7.10.0 - same procedure as every year James!

Hm yep, I haven't counted but there was masses of traffic at EGLL and a fair bit en route, LFMN is usually teeming but I haven't arrived yet lol. TFC shows up properly on the ND too.

While I applaud the list of fixes, the one aircraft that needed them the most did not get any: The PC24.

Yeah, that’s not good for the immersion.

The problem is far worse that previous.  Just landed at KBFI- almost every GA plane was either 10-feet above the ramp with gear down or 5-feet above the ramp with no gear.  Flew into the same ramp several times yesterday with every parked plane looking normal and well attached to the ground, except of course the gliders that should not be there in the first place.

The PC24 definitely got fixes.  It apparently didn't make it into the change log.  I was in SU1 beta and there were more than a few.

So does it now finally start from cold and dark? Because I was in the beta as well and when I testet it, it didn't.

I guess that it is a gauge of how trivial some of the fixes were.  For me the sim is still great.
