Didn't they just release a city update for both sims? When I look into your post history, I seriously think you need to touch some grass.

That is the key. Mandatory updates to a product developed by a studio that has lousy quality control.

Yet another statement pulled out of thin air, without any evidence or facts.  You are just making things up as you go along.....

Many AAA games are released with the developer's full knowledge that the game isn't finished and is still buggy. Cyberpunk 2077, anyone?

MSFS 2024 has surprisingly few bugs and is completely playable even on mediocre hardware.

MSFS 2020 didn't exist until 2024 was announced. Until then, it was "MSFS" and I, like many others, had thought that there would be continual updates to that simulator for the duration that was promised. I didn't expect to have to pay again after four years. And I certainly didn't expect to buy a simulator that was, and still is, a regression over the last one.

Really? You expected an infinite well of free upgrades?

And after dozens of FREE upgrades and sim fixes, you are asked to pay again. The audacity!

These are not Devs I can trust.

The fact that we suddenly have this 2020 issue now, with sim not shutting down, and it left unfixed, then what's the story?

Is this sim being sabotaged on purpose 🤔

If they are not trustworthy, I guess your use of MSFS will shortly cease?

As for the SIM being sabotaged on purpose - there will be a place to discuss that with like minded people. Search for 'flat earth' or 'we didn't go to the moon'.

Sorry but that is definitely not true.

Nope, it’s been maybe a year and a half of Greazer complaining and I assure you they’ll ignore everything they’ve been told here just like the previous threads and make another outlandish claim, that’s entirely out of touch with reality, in about two weeks. The usual few will bear the torch that Greezer has lit and carry it out into another spat of pointlessness of a topic that’s been discussed ad infinitum.

Before JD and the usual few tell me to ignore and not engage. I’m not, I’m simply making yet another observation. You are free to ignore my comments.

though of course I’m called pathetic because I’m calling out a troll. You really can’t make up some of the lunacy that goes on here at times.

Define "surprisingly few"... at least on the official "Bugs - lifetime" list of MS/Asobo itself, more than 100 bugs are listed that get 100 votes or more in the official forums. If you consider this "surprisingly few", well.

In another Q&A or interview, Jörg confessed that MSFS2024 was released with a whopping 32'000 known bugs (to the devs), is this also considered as "surprisingly few"?

Or do you just live in your own reality using alternativ facts? just asking...

Greetings, Chris

When MSFS was launched, Jorg stated ten years of support. There was no mention of a new simulator four years later. We can argue semantics and whether I should expect "free updates" for years or not but they were the ones who set that expectation in the first place.

If you like, we can also talk about how 2020 (as it is now known) was left without certain fixes - and one of the reasons for that as we now know may have been because there was already a move to 2024 happening in the background.

There has never been a plausible explanation as to why the flag was waving but there's no wind on the moon.

Considering the first FS2024 trailer was released in June 2023, the initial planning and development would have begun in 2021 or 2020. Maybe earlier.

There isn't mention of the next phase in MSFS either, but it will come.  We are in year five of MSFS and the updates and new features keep coming.

Just what is the huge problem in moving to 2024 when it is the right time for you?

Flight Gamers who say there's few bugs or everything is working fine, don't actually realize all the issues.

To be honest, some of the things that were already fixed in MSFS2020 made their way as bug into MSFS2024 nevertheless. For me, THIS is the bigger deal and utterly annoying, because you have to invest again tons of efforts to tell them it is bugged again. Like this abominal snow coverage, which was said to be fixed some time in MSFS2020, and now in MSFS2024, it is even worse again. And gets ignored. As it got ignored for 2y in MSFS2020, until after 3 or 4 Q&A sessions, they finally understood what the issue is about. Ridiculous.

I love those sims but the devs are just...
