The most important part that reminds me this is a Beta:

Excellent, so many people are suffering this since SU2 beta, but still not fixed...... But at least the opacity of the dust layer on glass is fixed.

I can't reconcile whats going on in the developers heads, that they fix the minutiae and dont address the show stoppers like performance.

Also having to disable default streamed airports every session if you have an add on replacement for said airfield, in SU3 beta, at least.

I'm proper tired of this nonense.

I know it's a beta, but even if I go back to SU2, the terrible performance at larger airports is a regressive issue, it wasn't an issue at release or in SU1.

We're seven months on from release at this point!

Maybe because not all developers working on an update are programmers and different tasks are assigned to different people. As a result someone from the art department had time to fix the opacity.

You act as if they all have to work on one issue at a time...

They explicity said they are wprking on performance issues, installing tools to try and pinpoint what is causing the issue and asking the community to help them identify the issue. Hey - they acknowledged the issue exists. That to me is a major step forward.

So let's all quit the griping and if we don't like it, SU2 is still out there waiting for us.

Has anyone worked out a way to reduce bloom etc? Things like runway and taxiway lights from dusk onwards look dreadful for me and there doesn’t appear to be an option anywhere?

The configure livery screen is still a mess

Other than the lack of search bar, I have no issues with it.

If they were going to update it, it won’t be any time soon, because this and the next couple SUs are focused on bug fixes not features

That's a bug and it is on the list to fix in SU03.

Artists=/= programmers

Not on my end. Performance is slightly better compared to SU1

Hi,

No update here!

Regards

Marketplace version here, seems no update yet.  Just loaded and was still on 1.5.4.0.

Read the release notes carefully again... in order to address and fix performance issues, they have added more telemetry and analysis code to collect more data, which in turn reduces performance further in this particular beta build. (i.e. this is an intentional overhead to performance, because it's a beta build after all, to help diagnose the performance issues better).

And as others said above, and as common logic should surely make it clear, fixing issue X or Y does not mean issue A or B is not getting looked at... due to the fact that there is more than one human developer on their team with *different* skill sets responsible for different aspects of the sim, and also sorta kinda due to the fact that they explicitly said they are looking at performance issues in this beta. Hopefully this helps you "reconcile what's going in the developers heads"🙂

the new beta will cause even more severe degradation.

Basically this as they

have added additional telemetry

to narrow down the culprit.

Reading comprehension seems to be dying skill these days.

It's the same old. Same old. People with naff hardware, and I include myself in this, complain because they can't run the sim maxed out! And they will NOT reduce their settings....

Constant error here when trying to update !!
