MSFS2024 1.5.27.0 - SU3 is here

Hi,

MSFS 2024 does not keep my Frame Generation settings.

I have to set x4 (or x3) on every flight, because it always reverts to x2.

I'm having this issue from SU2, and I thought that it was going to be solved in SU3, but the issue persists.

Furthermore, I was wondering if there's a way to set outside the game (in UserCgf, for instance), but I can't find anything.

Any hint?

Regards

It was the same way throughout the SU3 beta. I think that it can be changed in the nVidia app, but I just do it before each flight. I don't know why they can't fix this.

Looks like  they are probably working on SU4 and Maybe 5 right now.

Does anyone remember how quickly after su2 came out they started releasing the first su3 beta?

SU3 is a winner.

I completed two flights with the Citation X (plane is ok, not great, but for 30 bucks you get your money's worth), from EDAZ Schönhagen (payware) to EDAH Heringsdorf (payware) and encountered 0 issues.

Frame rates locked at 30, and they staid at 30 right down to touchdown.

Settings: Terrain LOD 100, all other settings to medium/high, 1440 p resolution. On a 3060ti.

Asobo did a great job here.

Do you have an nVidia 5000 series GPU?  3x and 4x only work on 5000 series.

@SayAgain Rob, how you you believe 2024 is managing to use so much RAM for you? I can get my 5090 to max its VRAM by upping the SSAA, but for the life of me, with ultra settings, I can't get it to use as much RAM as you.

are they frame rate limited or support FrameGeneration? 🤣

Actually yes and yes … they render frames at an FPS

I don’t believe anything, just reporting the facts per my video, no special tweaks.  I have 96GB system RAM and 32GB rolling cache.  Most everything on Ultra with exception of those silly extra airport clutter quantity and quality settings which I honestly see zero point in them … but they are at medium.

I'm enjoying SU3 as we speak and my ego is just fine.  😁

Sorry Rob, Im just curious, do you have any hypotheses regarding the level of RAM use? I have 64Gb and struggle to use anything approaching that...unless I'm missing a trick somehow?

Maybe MSFS 2024 detects how much RAM a PC has installed, and uses it accordingly?

About a week later.

Because only people who have to complain about something tend to post about it on the net.

My first post was also a complaint and then I figured out what I was doing wrong and retracted it

On my end SU3 is a big improvement and if they keep the direction for SU4 we'll be finally at a point where they can concentrate on the old schedule of switching between SU and WU every 2 months.
