Here are some simple instructions to run the VFS Projector in this thread:

Please note that I only read the config files, but I have not modified the config files myself and tested the modifications using the VFS projector.  From what I understand, you need to figure out the directory structure of the plane you want modify, and then duplicate that directory structure in your Community folder.  Then drop the config files in the right directory, restart MSFS 2024, and I think MSFS 2024 should read that config file. But this is what I read from other people - like I said, I only read the config file values, I never actually modified the config files and then flew the plane to ensure the new config values were altering the plane's behavior.

Maybe somebody here at Avsim, who has actually modified the config values, and got the plane to behave differently, can share the exact steps needed on how to modify the config values to permanently alter a plane's behavior.

Much appreciated. I was looking at the info, and it looks quite complicated for someone who has no knowledge of programming. Why didn't they leave it as it was in MSFS2020? I can't understand. For the other aircraft that don't belong to ASOBO, it is quite easy to fine-tune, if required. Disappointing, in my case.

I will provide you with more info.

1) For FSUIPC

2) Is there any specific a/c you are looking for?

Please note that I can currently only do it for 2020, provided I have the same aircraft. I guess the 737?

You can try these entries, if you wish.

If you require anything else, and I know, I'll be available tomorrow at the same time as long as my trip is not delayed.

Thanks very much, I'm only flying in 2024 now, I use the iFly and pmdg 737. These settings are for any 737? (pmdg and iFly)

You can try it. When I'm back, I'll take a look.

I don't think it's a real person is it?  I thought it was just a really rude AI pointless argument bot that is still in training.  I haven't replied to it in ages due to this, but I will never block it as I like a good laugh at its comments sometimes.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

impressive to see such great performance on a laptop. costs as much as a full fledged pc with similar specs though.

pretty rough landing at -500 fps considering he was a commercial pilot.

SeedyL and Jummivana have always been awesome....

The moderation staff under them are still out of touch and incompetent in making fair decisions and calls.

The flagging system is still complete basura and has run off more super helpful, insightful, friendly members than anything.

Sucks most of the original knowledgeable members of the Official forum community have moved on since the 2020 release days.

The official forum is a terrible environment where members with great intentions and knowledge are now hesitant to share ideas, drive engagement and help others in fear of being flagged for something silly.

The first two years were really fun times....RIP Official Forums🎻

Looks like you sorted it now Jeff, but yes, 30 locked with frame gen on top is super smooth for me at 60 FPS.  Best experience I ever had in a sim.
I am back to DLSS Frame Gen now.  FSR3 FG seemed better quality in some ways, but I am getting ghosting around propellers and aircraft shadows - a pity!

As a bonus, as my CPU is only having to calculate for 30 FPS, it is doing it easily.  No high temperatures or roaring fans.  Cool and quiet - very happy with it.

Like I say though, the sim takes a lot longer to load if you leave it set at 30 frames when you shut down.
It's a strange one!  Hopefully Asobo can take a look at it for SU4 beta.

Yeah, the ghosting will still be there.  No way around that at the moment.

The Vram is still high. No 4K unfortunately.  I thought I could get away with the 5080, but it doesn't look like it.

Edit:  The Vram bug is still listed on the dev blog for SU4.  I guess we'll still have to wait and see.   Same for some other very important fixes like the sepia mask at night, blurry ground textures, frame gen issues (ghosting, etc.), FPS drops when/after landing, multiple jetway support.  SU4 looks to be the really big one.

Nice fixes like the airport lighting and what not in SU3, but SU4 is the one I'm looking forward to, if they can pull it off.

A question on assessing MSFS performance.

Per the MSFS 2024 resource demands, my system is midrange but after installing SU3 I still have smooth motion, no stutters and FPS near 100.  Most of my settings are in the MEDIUM range.  When I look at the FPS display (activated from the Developer Mode | Debug menu), the background of the FPS no. is red.  Prior to SU3, the FPS was in the 60 range but the background was green.  I think this difference is telling me something but I don't know what it is.

Does anyone know ?

I see the same with red now being the background color instead of green. Same FPS as before with SU2. Makes no sense.

Have they fixed the issues in entering SIDs and STARs into the FMGC on the Ini planes at certain airports?
