MSFS2024 1.5.27.0 - SU3 is here

Has anyone got any issues with the A2A Comanche since the update? It starts off okay, then every input on the controller stops working, except the left stick (on an Xbox controller). After a couple of minutes it starts working again, before repeating the same cycle a few minutes later.

I had a problem in a 777 flight last night where the right throttle stopped responding to controller input. I'm going to try a few more flights before I apportion blame...

im so happy now you can see ai lights in the distance and airport lights aint bloomed out

Did they really finally fix this?  That's always been a pet peeve of mine.

No, No No. AI Traffic is still without landing gears if you are not pretty close. Especially, front gears appear very late. Too bad.

God, how difficult is it to fix such a basic issue?   Gotta believe this was caught and reported during the (very) long beta process and yet....

I had a similar issue, plus some visual issues in external view. I seem to remember something about PMDG, the 777s, and SU3 but couldn't see anything on their forum. I thought they were waiting for SU3 to go live before having to make some changes, so maybe there'll be an update soon.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I have also had a similar problem with the JF Hawk T1.  Its throttle intermittently stops responding to the throttle slider on my Thrustmaster twist stick. Unlikely to be attributable to my controller which has been trouble free until I loaded SU3 this morning.

I am in the iFly MAX and noticed a degrade in performance . I havent updated the drivers though because i was happy with the old ones per GTX1080TI. Maybe its related to servers i dont know .

MSFS Cache and Nvidia DX folders reset prior. Will have to try out the new drivers i guess.

Same here in the A320. When I looked in Settings all controls had a lock not allowing any change. At a loss how a company with hundreds of millions of installations in Windows can allow this sort of quality control.

Might be server issues as TLOD from 100 to 10 makes no difference at all

struggle to trim the Caravan as I would often overshoot and have to unwind a bit. With SU3, the plane responds to trim inputs much quicker and thus there's less tendency to overshoot. At least that's my perception. It could all be placebo:D

I don't notice any delay on control inputs as he claims; perhaps he's got a big dead zone. There are issues related to a momentary delay when activating the trim function, as in real airplanes, the electrical trim switch activation has an instant reaction, with no delay whatsoever. The second issue I noticed is that in some airplanes, the trim reaction is very twitchy, and the amount of trim movement is way too high. All this can be fixed (trim reaction and amount) in flight_model.cfg file, sections in [AIRPLANE_GEOMETRY], elevator_trim_down_limit, elevator_trim_up_limit, elevator_trim_elasticity_table, [FLIGHT_TUNING], elevator_trim_effectiveness, and is more related to each aircraft's specific.
The second problem with the delay needs to be addressed by Asobo, though there is a fix if you have FSUIPC; it can be fixed with one small modification to the .ini file.
Lastly, I still struggle with understanding and finding a tutorial on the VFS Projector for editing the flight model.cfg file, especially in MSFS2024.

No joy for me 😞

Still the same behavior of the beta, with continuous CoherentGTUI / Manipulators spikes on the A320v2, both on the ground and in cruise.

Despite a fresh installation with preventive deletion of rolling cache, DX shaders, \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and \Steam\steamapps\common\MSFS2024

Regardless of dynamic settings, framerate lock, vsync, frame gen, off screen precaching (initially it was on medium with the same behavior) and even with the low end preset (2nd video), CoherentGTUI / Manipulators spikes cause constant stuttering even at high framerates.

The community folder is empty except for the Simbrief planner.

Any idea?

Posted also on the official forum.

Thanks!

Hmmm … verified I have SU3, but frankly I’m not seeing any change other than the controller configuration is faster?

What happened to those reporting SU3 beta had adjustments for multiple TLOD and shadow distance LOD?  I don’t see anything in setting?  I see a lot of extra quality and quantity settings for airport vehicles/people which I disable anyway since they drive thru everything and I use GSX.

As reported, AI landing gear still missing on very short distance to view.  AI still doing crazy stunts and rarely actually landing and if I follow an AI they just disappear after a few minutes following?

Don’t get me wrong, still enjoy 2024, but not much I was interested in was addressed at all and I have a CTD in the Market Place that I didn’t have before.

A lot of SU3 Beta testers reported these issues were addressed, what happened?

I for one am happy. I get considerably better performance, reduced VRAM useage and as a result higher TLOD setting with AutoFPS which makes everything look a tiny bit nicer.

Although not much, my system is showing its age.

Espcecially capping the frames at 30 and then doubling them with FG is really giving more consistant performance.

From my side the 3 months of work were worth it.

Heh aside from the controller-profile-lag bug, the fix I'm most thrilled about is the right-mouse-button-scrolling in external view!  I will sometimes VNC into my home gaming computer to fire up MSFS and just make sure something works or whatever for when i get home from work, and scrolling around in external view mode was impossible before.  Now it scrolls normally!  😁
