Thanks,

We finally got it ! 😁

BTW Seedy, is SU4 Beta planned to roll directly after ? Like with SU3 Beta ?

Another issue, take-off from YPLC and head towards Wedge Island … at YPLC the cockpit view to Wedge Island looks like there is a 15,000 ft mountain … as one flies closer to Wedge Island the 15,000 ft mountain disappears and it returns to a normal looking island.  I didn’t see this in SU2 doing the same test flight.

Oh well, hoping SU4 will address the more significant issues that I’ve noticed.

I don't notice any delay on control inputs as he claims; perhaps he's got a big dead zone. There are issues related to a momentary delay when activating the trim function, as in real airplanes, the electrical trim switch activation has an instant reaction, with no delay whatsoever. The second issue I noticed is that in some airplanes, the trim reaction is very twitchy, and the amount of trim movement is way too high. All this can be fixed (trim reaction and amount) in flight_model.cfg file, sections in [AIRPLANE_GEOMETRY], elevator_trim_down_limit, elevator_trim_up_limit, elevator_trim_elasticity_table, [FLIGHT_TUNING], elevator_trim_effectiveness, and is more related to each aircraft's specific.
The second problem with the delay needs to be addressed by Asobo, though there is a fix if you have FSUIPC; it can be fixed with one small modification to the .ini file.
Lastly, I still struggle with understanding and finding a tutorial on the VFS Projector for editing the flight model.cfg file, especially in MSFS2024.

Which option should I tweak in the .ini? I imagine it would only work if you have elev trim configured through FSUIPC rather than through msfs right? Thanks

Well, after the first few flights I can't complain about the performance.  Everything pin sharp (even in VR) and smooth so far.

Only oddity - I don't think anyone has raised this one yet? -is that my 'Aircraft' list stops at the letter J.  I've checked and they are all streamed - and if you search for anything starting with, say, an R - yes, the RJ Avro pops up...and yes, it's 'streaming' - but it isn't showing on my opening 'Freeflight' menu list of aircraft to fly.  Anyone else got that and any ideas?

Some people say TAA is heavier on the GPU than DLSS / Quality, but It's very identical in my case in SU3, the difference is just 1-3 FPS.

I will provide you with more info.

1) For FSUIPC

2) Is there any specific a/c you are looking for?

Please note that I can currently only do it for 2020, provided I have the same aircraft. I guess the 737?

You can try these entries, if you wish.

fsuipc7.ini

[flight_tuning]
elevator_trim_effectiveness = 1.65 // Higher value=fast trim units movement, Lower value=slow trim units movment
If you require anything else, and I know, I'll be available tomorrow at the same time as long as my trip is not delayed.

747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

I noticed that default ATC is adding an “underscore” to call signs… like “United Underscore one one”… is that unique to me?

the AI traffic was turned on on the first flight. SU3 changed this setting, because before i had turned it off. All other settings were as the were in SU2

On my first flight it was sluggish flight between EHAM and EGLL. Today i check and discovered that all default(and or premium) scenery was enabled. So on my first flight i had both at EHAM and EGLL doudble scenery.

so i needed to unable a couple of other sceneries as well.

Ahhh, I don't know what the VFS Projector is. Would you be so kind as to direct me to some documentation, please? Thank you!

Here are some simple instructions to run the VFS Projector in this thread:

Please note that I only read the config files, but I have not modified the config files myself and tested the modifications using the VFS projector.  From what I understand, you need to figure out the directory structure of the plane you want modify, and then duplicate that directory structure in your Community folder.  Then drop the config files in the right directory, restart MSFS 2024, and I think MSFS 2024 should read that config file. But this is what I read from other people - like I said, I only read the config file values, I never actually modified the config files and then flew the plane to ensure the new config values were altering the plane's behavior.

Maybe somebody here at Avsim, who has actually modified the config values, and got the plane to behave differently, can share the exact steps needed on how to modify the config values to permanently alter a plane's behavior.

Interesting who may have "informed you". As this is factually false!

I was on the SU3 beta and received the SU3 the same as everyone else when it was available!

It's perplexing why you would spread false information.

Good for you but reading in the official forum seemingly some beta users did NOT get the final Version right away. So please do not expect that what worked for you will also work for others.

Hello @tpete61,

I am not spreading false information. I was directly informed of this by the producer who was managing the release of SU3. He advised me that the final SU3 update was first pushed to the non-beta group and subsequently deployed to those players who were enrolled in the beta afterward. Depending on your platform -- Xbox vs. PC (MS Store) vs. PC (Steam) -- and if you were in the SU3 beta or not, you might have received the update slightly sooner or later compared to other players.

Thanks,
