My first time on a beta (ms store version) what's the best procedure to drop out of the beta and be on update 3?

Nothing. Your last update of the beta will be identical to the release version.

No need to drop out. Once the delivery issues of today are resolved you should get it as a final update.  Meanwhile feel free to enjoy .26! 😇😇😇

I feel like there's a ton of stuff in the full release that wasn't in the beta, especially all of these aircraft fixes. Anyone else notices this?

Nope, many changes to aircraft were implemented along the way to the full release of SU3.

Some additional may have been added but they aren't all new today.

Any tips on what to download with SU3 from beta testers?  I'm guessing any aircraft that I use all the time and same with sceneries?  Honestly I don't have much problem with streaming, but there's a few things I may as well download that I use all the time.  (I'm also stuck waiting for the download to start).  I don't want to just go nuts downloading everything.  It is actually nice to save some disk space.

According to people who participated in the beta, there's minimal (if any) improvements after downloading more content locally if you have a fast/reliable internet connection. The new feature in SU3 that allows for additional content to be installed on your local disk is mainly for people whose internet connections were the bottleneck. Some testers reported longer loading times after downloading more content locally, so keep that tradeoff in mind too.

For me personally, I have a hardwired gigabit internet connection, so I'm not planning to download any content after installing SU3. Feel free to experiment and discover what works best for you, though!

Thanks,

I dont think it is. People show release is .27 while last beta is .26

This was the showstopper that needed to be fixed for me in order to move over to msfs2024. I needed the base files on my nvme. I know i still would be streaming content but not ALL the content.

Once i got those base files installed locally in the beta all the little "loading niggles" that bothered the daylights out of me stopped and then i could properly focus on optimizing the sim....

Another step closer to MSFS 2024. I just hope that there are not too many steps to go.

Not in this case, the release version is 1 version ahead of the beta.

The beta branch on steam hasn't been updated yet, so if you want the latest build you need to drop out.

Is it my imagination, or does Microsoft's own store seem to have more problems releasing new versions of Microsoft software than Steam?

yes they're an utter shambles at times with their own store, wish I never got the MS Store version of this sim.

What about the H225?, the first reason that I am waiting this release. For me SU3 isn´t available to update.

release went fine on Steam, so it just seems to be a Microsoft/Xbox Store issue.
