October 15, 2025Oct 15 How close do you think we are to the SU4 general release? The reports I read and videos seem to be painting a very positive picture. I don't worry about performance calculations, since my aircraft is always empty of passengers or cargo. It is working mostly but sometimes I cannot flick switches because they don't react when clicking the mouse. I have to look away and then back at the switch to make it work. October 15, 2025Oct 15 I would guess we are maybe one more build before release. Or perhaps two, but it’s pretty close to being done. Feels mature now. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

October 15, 2025Oct 15 I don't think SU4 is close. At least I hope not. SU3 is perfectly performing and stable for me, and I am worried they might mess things up by releasing SU4 before it is cooked properly. Maybe someone on the latest beta could answer these concerns.., Is the frame rate slider now calibrated properly? Do the curves show properly in hardware adjustments? Are the new baked in textures causing texture display / resolution issues? What is the problem with third part airports and night lighting that I am hearing about with the new texture system? Are the overbright landmarks of a night now back to normal brightness? Are the VRAM problems better? Are cockpit textures loading fine now? Early on in the beta mine were really slow loading for me. Back to normal in SU3. One thing I am looking forward to is the 70 aircraft being bug fixed or improved up to 2024 standard. Cant wait for that! I have heard WT are working on some, so they should turn out to be the usual success for things they are involved in. Some answers for you... - Frame rate slider you mend to lock the FPS? - Curves still on going but for my hardware they do - Not that I have seen - Should be solved with 1.6.15.0 - Overbright landmarks they have solved them almost lot of work done there but not all 1.6.15.0 - VRAM is far better as it ever was also we have now multi threaded CPU for the user aircraft which helps to I have now enough at my 16GB VRAM compared to SU3 with the same settings. - Cockpit textures loading fine In general this experience is with my local system and SU4 1.6.15.0 Still some work to be done few show stoppers included AI bug which is major and confirmed. But as for performance this sim is a huge step forward. Hope it's helpful Edited October 15, 2025Oct 15 by virtualstuff André

When I disable the limiter, then I get a steady 45 fps (locked at half refresh rate in the Pimax software). Absolutely ridiculous.
