Anyway, back to it. I will probably rejoin the beta at the next release to see if my slow cockpit redraw is fixed. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). November 10, 2025Nov 10 Author Some of you need to remember that 2024 was up for pre-order on the MS store for at least a full week before it showed up on on steam. Xbox players aren't on steam and the influx of PS5 players won't be on it either. Don't fool yourself, console users do count. They often convert to PC after getting a taste to get access to add-ons that are only available there. All this to say, I think Jorg knows exactly what he's saying when he indicates there are more simmers using 2024 than 2020. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.

You, sir, have won the internet today. Btw, I'm going to be releasing a cutting edge addon for FS9 - now this is truly "thinking ahead".

Yes, he says it will take 4 to 6 months for Stage 2, and they aren't even done Stage 1 yet. Then there is also Stage 3 after they finish Stage 2. Looks like the 757 will be released after summer, to be honest. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
November 10, 2025Nov 10 So my take on Bluebird's decision making is that their coding and features for the 757 was originally targeted for MSFS 2020, and they still believe that MSFS 2020 will have enough users when they release it by next year, so it explains why they are persisting with MSFS 2020. With SU4 coming out and the rapid improvement of MSFS 2024, I expect that when the 757 releases next year, the number of MSFS 2024 users on PC should have surpassed MSFS 2020 users by then. The latest SteamDB numbers for the last two weekends show MSFS 2020 has a peak of about 6K users, while MSFS 2024 has a peak of about 5K users: https://steamdb.info/charts/?compare=1250410,2537590 Based on the last two weekends of data, MSFS 2024 is only 1K users behind MSFS 2020 for peak usage on the weekend. If Bluebird ends up releasing the 757 in the 3rd quarter of 2026 or even later (which is likely based on the Youtube video), MSFS 2024 PC users should have easily climbed ahead of MSFS 2020 PC users by then. Having said that, I think Bluebird's decision making might be okay. The reason is, they said the 757 will be compatible with MSFS 2024 on release, and in the current beta, the users are testing the 757 on MSFS 2024. So MSFS 2024 users will be able to use the Bluebird Simulations 757 when it's released, it's just that it won't be taking advantage of all the advanced features of MSFS 2024. But I think if the Bluebird Simulations 757 is a huge success when it's released, those advanced features for MSFS 2024 will eventually come, because Bluebird Simulations will have made a huge payday. IMO, what's important is that Bluebird releases their 757 and it's stable (ie. not like the iniBuilds A350 release where it wasn't stable on release), and the depth of the simulations is very good. If they can hit these two major milestones with stability and depth of simulations, it will just be a matter of time until they upgrade it to take advantage of all the new MSFS 2024 features. November 10, 2025Nov 10 Makes complete sense to ditch FS2020 and focus on 24 only. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers

I'd agree with you but their 2020 dev cycle has been pretty darn long so it wouldn't hurt for them to release it there. My issue is the prospect of it not being on 24 day one by the time it comes out. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.

November 10, 2025Nov 10 I don't know.... the whole Bluebird thing is starting to feel like the Aerosoft A330..... Let's hope for their sake it ends up being as good as people assume it will be! Personally, I've lost all interest now. If and when it ever gets released (for 2024), we'll see. I maintain that developing initially solely for a 6 year old platform that was replaced 1 year ago is backward thinking. There was a point about 3-4 month ago when 2024 reached stability - and clear superiority over 2020 - when they should have re-configured their project and developed for the current version of MSFS. Regardless how many dinosaurs are still using 2020 now, I am sure that figure will be a lot smaller in late 2026, when this thing might get released. But still, those of us using 2024 have plenty to look forward, so I guess it's nice that the people hanging deperately onto the 5 year old platform also have at least 1 new addon to look forward to! 😄 Edited November 10, 2025Nov 10 by JYW Bill 😎FS2024 • Currently in 'GA mode' : A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar • Black Square C208, Bonanzas, Barons, TBM850, Dukes • COWS DA40 & DA42 • FSW Legacy, C24R Sierra & C414 • Echo Falco F8L • FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 • Got Friends A32 Vixxen • FSReborn Sirius TL3000, Sting S4 and Piper M500 • Flyboy Rans S6S • Skyward DA50RG • SWS Zenith CH701, RV-8, RV-10, RV-14, PC12 • Milviz C310R • Air Foil Labs Bristell B23 TrackIR • BeyondATC • PMS GTN Payware • RealTurb • Axis & Ohs • FS Realistic Pro9800X3D • RTX 3080 • 64GB DDR5-6000NPPL licence holder in the UK

Aerosoft gave all the classic warning signs it'd suck - - Derived from their P3D offering which didn't really work well - Funded by govt with a sunset on the funding so they rushed to push it out - Lost staff members left and right during this process

There are always people who miss the train and claim the dead end they are heading towards is where the majority wants to go.
