SU4 Release?

It's that the massive FPS drop? I noticed that in the beta at the weekend, really hampers FPS in VR and that's with my new GPU!

Not only the stutter, it has so many issues with disappearing text, random scrolling, lag, lack of options after landing (say again only), and it's still impossible to resize under a minimum size that takes half cockpit, it's impossible to resize the font below 18 points, etc. etc.

If only they kept MSFS ATC window and fonts (throughout the UI), they would have saved a lot of time and not pi55ed off PC users.

  • It might be a lack of competence on my part in explaining, but I feel like there are little bits and pieces of info being repeated here (maybe from bits read on the web) but not really an understandin

  • As has been explained in one or more dev Q&As, this is not so. Changing the LOD rules for 2024 3D assets was an intentional design choice in order to keep performance levels high across all scales

They do not have a lot of time to fix all of the essential issues. My new PC is due to be delivered in around an hour, so they need to get their skates on

Ah ok, I've not touched ATC in MSFS24 until this weekend when I immediately saw the FPS drop. Maybe I'm give it a miss altogether for now

Talk about an upgrade!  Six generations newer CPU and four generations newer GPU...you're gonna fall out of your chair when you get things running.

Is that when he sees his electricity bill?

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Solid. I have very similar specs and can tell you that you're going to enjoy it a lot.

And the power bill.. today's CPUs are so much better. My computer runs cooler, quieter, has lower power consumption and still manages to do a lot more than my previous computer. Things did get better (and I'm lucky I upgraded before RAM prices went insane).

Enjoy the new PC!

I hoping SU4 today. I have tomorrow to move over from MS20 if it’s released.

The latest beta was a disaster for me, on my new rig with a 5080, getting massive stutters and sound popping.

I've got a feeling SayIntentions wasn't playing very nicely with the new beta and I've gone back to SU3.  Does anyone else have that experience?  Lots of panning stutter, and stutter with any AI traffic.

The only reason I want a decent, stable SU4 is to get rid of the dreaded sepia mask.   The garden is pretty rosy apart from that.

It will probably come out the same day the PS5 version releases, December 8th.

The pre-order release date is December 3rd. So maybe we will see SU4 next week.
