Actually, I can remember ones where there was genuine enthusiasm and excitement for a PMDG release. I have fond memories of checking the forums in the lead up to the 737NG release in August 2011. I was at a Starbucks that August evening and learned of its release on this forum and headed right home to purchase it.

Something has changed...

I remember when the way you knew a PMDG release was imminent was that the Avsim forum was crashing from everyone hitting F5 waiting for a release announcement.

Last time I was excited for a pmdg release was Sept 2017 with the QotS2.

My memory may be wrong. But the PMDG p3d ngxu one was great. Total surprise and a massive update from the ngx

Yes, those were the days they gave value! Remember the $99 discount?

Those days are gone, but I do think this new era of multiple amazing devs is better.

Yea, the same for me. I was eager for the 738 in 2020, but it was not the same excitement in the community, we all knew basically what we were getting, and in the end I did not end up flying it that much, it was just eclipsed by the Fenix and by my new-found appreciation for GA. This time I find I have very little interest in the release, and given I have the iFly and I am not at all interested in another Max, but sure am looking forward to the Queen -- hoping for 2027.

You mean 2026? Or did they say it will be THAT late?

And I did a lots of repaint for PMDG 747 - 400. 😁

I do not think they have said anything specific, I actually hope for 2026 but would not be surprised if it is 2027 and I do not what to get my hopes up. They are saying February to finish the 737 series, then they have mentioned the MAX and we know they are working on the classic 74s and maybe they come first -- it is the 400 and 800 I want and have no interest in the 100 and 200. So, we will see...

My guess will be around $30 for existing customers

Than RSR flat out lied to everyone. A couple cups of coffee is not $30. Let’s see if he sticks by his word or goes the greedy route without care what the PR fallout is.

Wasn't the -800 the last one to be released in 2020, therefore would have sold the least units?

Therefore if released first in 2024 will not pick up as many discounts?
