I acquired the 737/800 at MSFS2020 market place, and by the moment it doesnt show at 2024 OC3. Anybody knows it we have to wait , and the discount should be available ?

If you purchased the 2020 version in the Marketplace you will also have to purchase the 2024 version in the Marketplace to get the discount.

  • I visited my son this morning in Newcastle (EGNT - although he doesn't live at the airport 😄). I've had a good 90 minute session with the PMDG 737-800 for MS2024 and here are my thoughts:- P

  • What a stupid organization to find and select the right aircraft+livery. In the MSFS 2024 menu we have now 5 entries for the PMDG 738-800 together with MS/Asobos configure/variant/livery options it is

Purchased without any problems. Quite surprised at how easy the process was.

I got the discount.

Now I just need to be brave and install 2024.

Does anyone know how long the dicount will be around for?

With the discount, it works out to be $45 in Australian dollars.   That's how much I spend on coffee over 2 weeks -  and I aint going without coffee for 2 weeks!

Looks like a must buy, even for an Airbus tragic like me.  🙂

I just tried it and the full price still shows. I bought the -700 through PMDG. Oh well. Thanks for your help though!

Try again, See Tom above.

Worked also for me. Thought that is indeed a „loyalty offer“ vs Upgrade fee as I only own the -700 for 2020 (but the 800 for FSX, btw).

I cannot find the 800 at the 2024 Marketplace

Not seeing the "got the 2020 -700" discount in spite of multiple empties/reloads of cart while logged in. so I'll leave it for a bit. Not actually a fan of the -800 (prefer the -600) but it looks well done and I like the BBJ option, but not sure I like it enough to pay full price. I'll try again tomorrow and see what happens.

Make sure you log in to the same account you bought the -700 from here: https://pmdg.com/login.php

Then empty your basket and try again. It definitely worked for me but had to do the above.

Log out and log back in.  Empty the cart and try again.

Nope, still not doing it for me. Definitely showing my previous orders on their site, but no amount of logging off/on, emptying cart etc gives me anything other than full price.

No biggie. Like I say, I can live without it.

I think they are going to have some issues to sort out.  Hopefully quickly.  I purchased on my phone and paid with PayPal.   My PayPal receipt shows correct item and amount. But I got an email from PMDGsaying my order was still in process.  It references the sa.e order number but the shows the 77F at a different price, which i already own

I only bought their 737-700 previously  - but sadly I see no discount.

EDIT.  I had to remove it from the cart, then (while being logged in) add it.  Now it shows.  30 USD for the -800 when I owned the 700 is more than fair

REALLY? That's not supposed to work, AFAIK.

The terms were that the discount would only apply if you had the respective v2020 variant.

You lucked out, if so! 🙂

yeah it was probably a bug and they fixed it 😁.. not really the kind of pmdg to do that since they have to rewrite everything for each version because they are sooooo different 😉😉.. the older of us probably even remember when they were the only vendor in the world to charge just to redownload the installer you already bought (and obviously the fans found it normal 😆) .. anyway they make great products and i'll probably buy the 800 full price and not update my bought 700 because yeah they rule the market so they can do what they want and we are not forced to buy but we can't resist and they know that very well😁

I gave it a shot, too, following Ryan's instructions. No Go for me after several permutations.

Oh well, I had been set to wait until Feb, so no harm, no foul.

Glad at least a few of us were able to get the discount! 😁👍

same for me unfortunately.

No biggie indeed but yet it leaves my with a bad feeling.

Wasn't it the -700 first that came out first for 2020 knowing the -800 is the more popular variant?
