GAIST v7.1 in MSFS 2024

Featured Replies

Is there news from Asobo to separate live ships from live planes traffic?, or if they could work also with live traffic off.

That is something I miss from FS20.

I would really love to see GAIST working properly in MSFS 2024 in AI Offline mode. This was one of those issues that delayed my switch to the new simulator.

I really hope that Hendrik can get GAIST working in MSFS 2024 at some point. Global Shipping 24 is OK, but it has a limited number of ship types, and seems to be restricted to specific areas. When I h

I do not see any GAIST ships working in AI Offline mode in MSFS 2024. I would dearly love to know if there is any chance that it will work again at some point in the future.

I've now got "live marine traffic" working..

  1. Flight Environment: Air Traffic live

  2. Settings / Graphics / Global Rendering Quality: Sea Traffic medium or higher

  3. Settings / Online: Traffic type Real time on line

  4. Settings / Flight interface: Show Marine Traffic nameplates ON

  5. Optional: GAIST enabled in Community folder

From the top of my head I believe it's under the graphic settings. Where all the other settings for traffic density and quality are.

Can't be that hard to find.

That doesn't control traffic, that just controls the models.

Wrong. There is a quantity and a quality option.

Thanks, I now have plenty of traffic on Puget Sound.

But we're not talking about that, we're talking about the actual online traffic.

Touching that won't do anything if the online traffic is turned off.

That's true. There is one Global Toggle for Online Traffic and then you have to switch off the Aircrafts in the Graphic Settings if you only want the Ships or vice versa.

I've tried everything now and am simply not seeing any GAIST ships whatsoever, I see plenty of "AI_" Asobo boats in Sim and LNM (mouseover, yellow label shows details of the ships) but nothing referencing GAIST which should begin "CS_". Seafront ships show up as "seafront-" in LNM so they're easily identifiable.

Can you/others who say it is working, please show a screenshot of LNM with the label of the GAIST ships? As I fear there's a lot of misinformation and confusion over what people are actually seeing hence some/many of us not seeing ships (here & official forums) compared to those that are, thanks.

Can't wait to see those pics of GAIST ships in v2024.

Not sure the labels make it through.. but I do see BC Ferries in the water off Vancouver Island, and I do not believe that Asobo would have created those.. These are Henrik's ships..

Yes, those is Henrik's.

NYC also has Staten Island ferries and Sydney has Sydney ferries.

But because of how limited model matching is for live ship traffic, they can also show up in other places with in those regions.
