I just don't have a pressing need for a -900, I like to fly real world flights and not many airlines fly it. Frankly there's so many other airliners I'm having fun with right now, I'll need to come across a burning reason I want to fly a -900. I'm spending way more time in the MD11 than the PMDG 738 as an example, plus the FSL PW NEO variant just dropped, and I've been flying the wings off the FSS 727-100 lately... Had it been a nominal / cup of coffee upgrade, then sure I would have bought it to satisfy my need to be a collector. But for the asking price, I'll actually put though into whether I'll buy it or not 🙂. Maybe at some point if I come across a real world flight that calls for a -900 that I really want to do... February 6Feb 6 Unfortunately, the latest 900 also included updates to the 800. I uninstalled and reinstalled twice, hoping to fix any issues caused by the update. Previously, the 800 was unstable and twitchy in wind conditions; now it shows more severe Dutch rolls and the same broken LNAV during the waypoint sequence. Overall, it’s worse than before and flies like a kite. None of the other paid addons of similar size display this unrealistic behavior. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.

There seems to be lots of 737-900s in the air according to my AI buddy: Key Airlines Operating the 737-900/-900ER: Delta Air Lines: Operates a large fleet of over 160 737-900ER aircraft. United Airlines: A major user of the 737-900ER for domestic and regional routes. Alaska Airlines: Utilizes the 737-900ER extensively, particularly on routes from hubs like Seattle and Portland. Lion Air / Thai Lion Air: Major operator in Southeast Asia. Turkish Airlines: Operates the type in Europe/Asia. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines: Uses the 737-900 within its European network. El Al: Operates 737-900ERs in its fleet. Okay Airways: Chinese carrier operating the 737-900ER. Sun Country Airlines: Operates the variant in the US. Cheers, Pete And unlike initially for the 800, that discount really only applies to those per-owning the 2020 version. For 30 I may have gotten it. But not for 50. and I will probably even skip the 700 which I indeed per-own. February 6Feb 6 I'm sure they took a look at their sales data and release order from 2020 and did it in reverse for 2024 to minimize the discount use. February 6Feb 6 Can anyone explain to me, why PMDG, in their infinite wisdom, retail the 800 at $74.99 and the 900 is 33% cheaper at $49.99, please? TIA. Edited February 6Feb 6 by Sparkrite

Because there are far more 800s in the RW I guess. I wanted the 800 because it flies the most routes. People wouldn't buy the 900 or 600 if they were priced the same, unless they didn't care about flying real routes, in which case they can enjoy the bargain 🙂 FS2024 • PMDG 738, 77F • FSL A321 • A2A Comanche, Aerostar • BS Baron, Bonanza, Caravan Pro • JF Tomahawk • TAOG H500C BeyondATC • GSX Pro • ChasePlane & Flow Pro • TDS GTNXi • FSUIPC • AutoFPS • RealTurb 9800X3D B650E • ROG OC RTX 5090 • 64GB DDR5-6000 • VKB Gladiator, STECS, T-Rudder • Tobii 5 • ISP 1 Gbps

I recall because I’d flown with them once many moons ago during one of my transit-throughs, Delhi to Mumbai, I think. It was in the news because they were the first Indian carrier to receive the -900ER. Lion Air, the first to order and the launch customer, got it in April 2007, and SpiceJet, a few months later in the same year. I wouldn’t mind flying the -900ER in the (nice) SpiceJet colors of PMDG…🙂…for memory’s sake… Edited February 6Feb 6 by P_7878
February 6Feb 6 I have the PMDG 737, but I'm trying to find a developer that has labels or clickspots over each switch and button. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike CyberPowerPC - Gamer Supreme Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D - 64GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT 16GB - 4TB PCIe 4.0 SSD
