They’ve confirmed MP purchases can be transferred to the inibuilds manager.

The wait for it to be available on the iniManager will not be as long as other products.

It's rampant, it's not just here. It's people complaining about 2020 to 2024 native addon upgrade fees, to just anyone complaining about the cost of making products. If a new addon isn't 29.99 USD t

Seriously? That's unsatisfactory.

Jeff, what sort of GSX integration were you expecting? I had read somewhere there will be a GSX profile coming. I assume jetways will also dock on the A220. Were their special features you were after? I am guessing something like progressive fueling etc. Am I right? Just curious.

I also read that if you purchase from MP, there's no receipt or invoice provided. Is this true? I have never purchased from MP so far, but if that is the case, this would be reason for me to hold off until the A220 is in the Inibuilds Store. I do like the Inibuilds Manager. Its easy to use and easy to manage the updates that come through.

I do receive an email in my MS account associated with the MP, although it doesn't identify very objectively the object of the purchase...

Learning to fly gliders since 1980

Stopped using flightsims for good since early August 2026, after 34 yrs using some really great specimens... If I'm asked to name the preferred one, after all these years, MSFS 2024 is my answer without hesitation.

(No desktop :-// after the last one crashed for good, so no simming, but I keep polling AVSIM - my main ludic activities spot since around 2006...)

Each to their own, live and let live and all that, but I don't understand the aversion to using the Marketplace.

I use it occasionally, not exclusively, but will have no issues using it for the A220 then transferring over to the iniBuilds store when the time comes, just like the A340.

Because it’s Marketplace only for now, and all files being encrypted, seated pax will not work with GSX. Same thing happened with the iniBuilds L1011. To this day, seated pax are not available for that aircraft.

We cannot mod nor fix the quirks of new product releases due to marketplace file encryption. Instead we are at the mercy and stuck between a rock and a hard place, with certain super slow non attentive addon developers and marketplace file vetting process to finally release a patch update.

Meanwhile on other 3rd party addon stores we get the non encrypted addon version in which files can be easily accessed and talented modders can immediately upload fixes to 3rd party addon sites like Flightsim.to etc etc. Marketplace would not be a problem if in a perfect world no one pirated payware or addon developers released fully polished and featured products.💡

I would not put inibuilds in the category of a "super slow or non-attentive" dev.
Regardless, you only have a wait a month or two for the product transfer to open. If anything, that gives a chance for the inevitable release-day bugs to get sorted so not the worst thing to wait.

Keep the blue part on top...

Knowing how much the consumer base loves GSX integration with their products, yes it does apply Inibuilds regarding the L1011 in this case.

Thank you.

I avoid the Marketplace (MP) at all costs, but I did purchase the L-1011 on release day. I did so knowing that all I had to do later was take a screenshot that I OWN it in the MP library and put in a transfer ticket when it became available on the iniManager. The entire process was done in less than 10 minutes.

I hate the MP for the fact I had purchase issues in the past and trying to get ahold of someone from Microsoft to fix it was a pain in the butt. I also dislike the product update process. With the L-1011, iniBuild would push out an update and I had to wait the following week to update.

Against my standing rule, I will be purchasing the A220 when it releases. From what they are saying, it will be the same transfer process as the A340 and L-1011. The nice thing about the transfer process, iniBuilds provides you with an actual receipt for your purchase. The price will say $0.00 as it is a free transfer. They also said the wait time for it to arrive in the iniManager will not be that long as past products.

Unfortunately, this is the future when it comes to iniBuilds aircraft. I’m sure the A380 will be the same.

To be fair, I can't think of any case where a mod for a paid addon was necessary. Like majorly necessary, beyond just basic cosmetics?

And as a counter argument – pretty sure the default DC-3 is encrypted, as is the Beech 18 and Boeing 307 and yet all have really substantial flight model and functionality mods.

Personally, I'm all for MP. In fact even more so recently after doing a tour of my old add ons to see which are still holding up after all these years. Trying to figure out what version I have installed, going to each developer, trying to remember my login details, then downloading everything separately is such a pain. Just Flight is particularly bad with that.

I'd much rather it all just gets updated on its own without me even thinking about it.

I’m interested in this plane as I’m a huge airbus fan( I know this is an adopted airbus but still.) I’ll wait for the streamers to take it up and fly it around and hopefully I’ll learn some of the ins and outs of flying the jet. If the learning curve is not too steep I might dip my toe in the waters and buy it but for now I’m thrilled with my Fenix a320 ops so I’m all good either way.

Thay's why I hate or avoid purchasing anything from the MP. The receipts don't provide any useful information about what was purchased. For that reason, I will not be purchasing the A220 yet. Also, I want to be sure It has individual pop out panels like the A350 and not like the Ini A340 mess.

Looking forward to this release, A220 has been the most anticipated airliner to arrive on flight sim and it seems despite delays and long time in development Synaptic has done good job with it. I was looking at the last showcase video released by inibuilds and so far it is looking like a good addon to me, There could be some improvement to the sounds - But to be honest for now I'll accept it.

Also fact that inibuilds has confirmed that marketplace order can be transferred to inibuilds store when it releases there - I can safely pick it up next week when it releases.

Finally something different then your typical Airbus or Boeing.
