Seems a few people need to visit the Official Forums, there is and has been plenty of discontent over there for awhile now on the direction of MSFS2024 amongst many other things (this one thread for example);

Again guys, MSFS does not revolve around AVSim. If you think the complaining is too much perhaps it is you who needs to take a break, our complaints are legitimate and have been for years and we have every right to air them 🙂

FYI I had a splendid flight over Italy earlier, of course there were issues at points but overall it was an absolute joy.

If you think I am some kind of MSFS apologist, you are mistaken. I have been vocal about plenty of the shortcomings in MSFS. But I am also a realist, while many others have their heads in those clouds they complain about. Following their roadmap would lead MSFS down the FSX road to obsolescence.

Where exactly is it "SUPPOSED" to be headed, and what makes your opinion on that more valid than those in charge of the MSFS roadmap? Also, not heading anywhere? The folks patiently waiting for the National Championship Air Races will disagree with you. And for those who think the air races are just a "game", go ahead and fly the current Red Bull races at their highest difficulty. This is iRacing of the flight sim world, and some of those competing at the top level have sim rigs that put those Airbus-focused Winwing setups to shame.

Complain all you want, I find it quite amusing to see what I assume to be grown adults carrying on like children over, no matter how much we love MSFS, is a computer game.

It's all built on trust level nonsense so probably needs a mod to verify your sign up or something

For my part, I find it strange that a flight simulator does not have an emphasis on weather. Weather, IRL, determines if a flight even goes or not. I get it, it's just a "game", but what are we doing if weather is not even the biggest concern. IMO, I'm not sure they need to have something so intrinsic to the activity of flying need a ton of upvotes.

That said, I like to believe I'm a reasonable person and had a reasonable expectation that 2024 would be fixed up in no time as the company would have learned from 2020. Yet, here we are in 2026 and the biggest lessons seem to be how to pass on visual simulator regressions.

It's still a good sim, but if I had my druthers, I'd like to see weather fixed (systems and sim depictions), ATC structure fixed, the culling of entire planes fixed, then so on. Until that stuff is fixed, if ever, I'll continue until something better comes along.

It's pretend flying so, I just pretend everything is OK.

I didnt actually do it yet... was a bit nervous as the good folks said to make another copy in case things played up... lol... ill get my nerve but a stable version that does everything it needs still gives me great pleasure...

No missing undercarriage etc... I'm over the whole 'sim needs to look pretty' thing now and am really appreciating the depth of the flight model and how that's impacted my flying... for me MSFS2024 is the pretty sim and for me, X-Plane is the flight dynamic sim...

Do I really need to explain the short comings of the sim years after release?

Have you not seen the hundreds of the threads on here and offical forums?

you're a realist you say, so be real and admit that a flight sim should have better weather depiction, better AI code of other aircraft around you, the planes literally levitate off the runway not rotate. This is a flight simulation they should get the CORE aspects right before any air racing addons. Do you fly in real life? Or are you just going based off how the plane feels and calling it the "iRacing" of flightsim

• Improved Flight dynamics (it's good just needs more tuning)

• Weather visual representation / depiction

• Better ai code not the one left over from fsx and enhanced (you can see behaviour from ai aircraft from the fs9

• Better LOD handling

• Better representation of night time flying, what we have in the sim is NOT what it looks like irl

This is what forums are for. Discussing the simulator not just praising it. I know you're trying to look fancy and mature but you're here on forums with us of a video game...

Hello @Christopher Low,

You do not need a moderator to manually verify your account. All of this is explained in the stickied thread here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/trust-levels-and-how-to-advance/121729

The trust level "nonsense" (as another poster described it) is a forum security measure to prevent bots and spammers. For a regular forum user such as yourself, it is very quick and 100% automated to advance to the trust level where you can start a new thread.

Nobody's shouting like a child, we're expressing your opinion, you have a right to yours but when you try belittle people who do, I'll make sure I remind you that you're here with us 😂 once again not sure what you're trying to come across as...

Me being a commercial member doesn't change anything, there's nothing unprofessional about my opinion or how I handle people who think they're better than everyone else.

I’M a “hard core [PC] simmer ” and I can hardly wait for the improved air racing aspect.

there’s a LOT more to flight sim than big fat airliners flying themselves.
