So many issues still out there that seem to not be getting addressed (AI landing gear culling, dim aircraft lighting, no runway lights in low viz, Live WX cloud regression, lack of CB's, etc, etc). There's always the next new version of MSFS in 2028 or 2030 I guess...When I read through these update notes, that's the first thing I thought. They're just fixing small, under-the-hood stuff, which is welcomed -- but I think they're saving all these bigger issues we really want fixed for the next version, whether that's 2028 or whichever year. It's not the end of the world so long as the next version really does address these issues. Would be nice to get them sooner than later.

Yes, I did.Kinda makes me wonder which one of you “doesn’t understand flights sims or flight simmers” 🤣I agree with this mostly. It's just that there are issues in this sim, that the previous sims did not have. The biggest example being the LOD culling with landing gears. Marco D'Agostino

It was rather to amplify where MS is focused which is on drawing in new players, not on adding in new features the traditional simmer is clamoring for. I for one will also enjoy it.And please don’t assume I mainly fly airliners. They are my least flown plane. I own over 100 payware aircraft (Helicopters, bush, GA, biz jets, warbirds, airliners, etc.) and over 500 other add-ons (airports, bush strips, world enhancements, utilities, etc.) I am pretty sure I’ve explored EVERY aspect MSFS can provide and rotate between the different categories of aircraft frequently.Lastly, I have been one of the staunchest supporters of MSFS 2024. I’m not bothered by what a lot of simmers here view as important items to be fixed. My entire post was not to be critical of the sim, but rather to tell everyone that they should probably adjust their expectations on getting a lot of new features in this iteration of MSFS.Okay, fair. I misunderstood your point. And I do agree that MS is particularly focused on growing the user base. And I think that’s a good thing!what we’ve seen is that MSFS users get a lot of freebies that have never been offered by others in devs. And that’s undoubtedly due to the massive number of users enabling it. Webs also seen that there have been plenty of serious simmer stuff pushed into the sim over the years - I mean, it’s SO much better than the early days of v2020. Anyhow, seems like we see more eye to eye than I thought🤙

I thought they would start to include major new features again after SU4, or SU5, when MSFS 2024 had become much more stable, but we're moving into SU7 and it's mainly been bug fixes, with small feature enhancements being added (but no major feature enhancements, aside from AAU). September 13Sep 13 If they do that, they had better make sure that MSFS 2024 airports are fully compatible with it. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

September 13Sep 13 I wonder if we wiill ever get some kind of "modern days" BAO's A&AF that made my days in the early 90s of the last Century, with AI and we telling the interface what kind of aircraft we want to build, offering simply text / voice, or complementing with data tables, sketches, photographs, videos... Why is it fine for career apps to have existed for decades without complaint but a problem for Asobo to now offer? At the end of the day, there's nothing stopping me from starting the sim and pressing "Free Flight". You're side-stepping to avoid acknowledging all of @UrgentSiesta 's points.MSFS '24 pushes it's curated experience to the front, a cynic might suggest because career mode is designed to push plane sales on the MP rather than third party stores. You've never wondered by the free flight button is the smallest on the screen ?Similarly why not offer an unranked open career mode that allowed any plane from any store but had no scoring ?As for P3D, the issue isn't that people didn't use it's rather than LM didn't care one little bit about them because there were a tiny rounding error compared to the money made from their actual target market and so made absolutely no attempt to respond to MSFS's arrival because without a commercial license it had no material effect on them. Finally crashing - I know of NO other sim in history that has had and equivalent of "Back on Track" that can't be turned off ?Do you know of one ?In essence 2024 is Asobo's attempt to create Forza Horizons for planes and the general sim aspects have suffered from the effort put into that focus.
