  1. Past hour
  2. Yep, I know exactly what you mean, but really, it's not that long winded. Get an ad blocker, watch it, and write down the steps yourself. If you do the writing-down, you'll remember what to do next time. 😉 First time I did it, I was pleasantly surprised - one of those rare YouTube MSFS tech help videos that works, at least for me.
  3. Thanks for this information! I will probably follow the phraseology generated by BeyondATC then, but I may double check from time to time if there is something I am suspicious about.
  4. Noooo please not another of those long-winded videos replete with ads and cheerful banter! Nearly 10 minutes in this video for what presumably is a checklist of steps that would take 20 seconds to read. Could you just write a list of the steps needed?
  5. This is just a short but enjoyable hop from St. Maarten to Saba. Thanks for viewing
  6. I noticed it as well, the performances are far off from the book. To me it seems like the torque value display in the cockpit is incorrect and showing much less than it should. I’m also disappointed by the feel of the aircraft on the ground during the takeoff, it has a big tendency to veer off the center line, doesn’t feel real at all. And the flight model feels very weak too… I hope they will come with a fix.
  7. Yep, I did the same thing, had to use prop and power as well. It is very inefficient.
  8. Done a couple of flights with this driver. Smooth as silk on my end.
  9. Only used the factory plane so far and yes trim horrendous for me too. After take off with trim set in green band plane pointed its nose UP so I pressed the forward trim for a second on my yoke and then I was nose diving. After that I was either 1000 up or 1000 down for just one or 2 clicks on the trim button. Ended up using prop and power to trim the plane despite this being very inefficient in climb and cruise.
  10. I'm looking for a fictional repaint with the theme "California Dreaming" for the bkq Bonanza Turbo with tip tanks for MSFS. I can provide further details if someone takes this on. Not sure if it's appropriate, but I'm happy to pay for your services. Thank you, CPP
  11. I watched a video yesterday by a Beyond ATC dev where he explained what their logic was and what to expect from the program. Before I continue I will state it's great we get that kind of feedback from devs both in video and discussion form as in this thread. He stated their clear intent was to provide instructions that matched what you actually saw yourself outside the window as you were taxiing around your favorite strip, regardless of whether it matched the latest airac /navigraph charts. So yes there were using the internal database of both default and addon airports to provide that information and added the caveat that some addons actually include inaccurate information that confuses the issue further. So it would seem to me a clearer choice for people between BATC and Say Intensions would be whether you prefer real world accuracy or in sim accuracy. Technically accurate ATC or WYSIWYG. Add that decider to the sub vs one off payment choice too and it should be easy to make an informed choice now.
  12. Regarding ATC I'm great with FSHUD. Have been considering pilot2atc since years, but it does not control AI traffic...
  13. "Active" is not used in my country, the runway is positively identified. On a perfectly calm day at a non-controlled aerodrome, which runway is "the active"?
  14. Today
  15. Well let me tell you: I've done 4 flights in BATC and 3 of them worked perfectly. The other one had a crash of BATC in the end, but I was able to restart and continue the flight before landing. In SI I had done about 6 IFR flights and all of them bugged out sooner or later, breaking the flight ATC-wise. I'd say for Early Access (with 2 warning screens before you even get to purchase) that's pretty solid, exactly how Early Access should be. Working most of the time, but with bugs and glitches and unpolished.
  16. I’m finding BATC is pretty good with real world phraseology but we do have consider regional variations across the world. One rule doesn’t always apply everywhere. As for taxi, the preferred statement in NA is just “ready to taxi”. No need to add ‘active’. One goal of radio traffic is to keep it to a minimum.
  17. Was searching for a fix just yesterday as well. I went through my Honeycomb settings looking for the conflict. Then watched a YT video and boom!! I learned that the PITCH TRIM switch must be ON.👍
  18. For me, it's difficult to trim and very nose-down heavy on the descent.
  19. Is skydiving modeling available for fs2020 simulator?
  20. In the manual in the troubleshooting section at the bottom there is actually a question that reads "why can't I turn on the autopilot". The pitch trim button and it's purpose is detailed there. As well as in the manual itself. Took me a while to find the little switch even when I knew I had to activate it!
  21. Just picked this up and was modifying a C414 profile. Glad to have the "official" profiles. Thanks! Is there a Duke and a Grand Duke when you purchase the piston package?
  22. In Europe there definitely is an 'active' runway at untowered (read uncontrolled) airports. Most uncontrolled airfields have a manned radio frequency that provides aerodrome information (runway in use, wind, QNH), so there is an 'active' runway. There are of course a lot of smaller unmanned airfields where using the phrase 'active runway' doesn't make that much sense.
  23. Hi, When flying with airliners at cruise lvl around 30.000 - 40.000 the ground looks washed out, almost white, not close to what I see when flying in reality. I know it's supposed to show the moist in the atmosphere, but it's not how it looks. Is there a way to fix it without change anything else in the sim?
  24. Despite my older hardware, I have a pretty smooth experience (8700K, 1080TI). But this is with not-to-high fidelity planes which I fly mostly.
