This stream auto-updates

  1. Past hour
  2. Hmm today's flight (LLBG to LIRF) went swimmingly, until 15 miles from LAT it decided to inform me I was to fly the LAT3A STAR - 24000 feet to drop in 15 miles .. .. Not so clever .. .. .. .. or should you just ASSUME you are flying the STAR as it's in your Simbrief plan?? G
  3. Well I do have the original installer at it seem there is no remove option. However there are is an option "do not configure Auto start" which I select and then install expecting that although the program is still installed it will not auto start with MSFS but it still does.
  4. Has the beta resolved the issue where tiles are visible at cruise popping in from a distance? See here for reference:
  5. Fine set indeed, I am really yearning for the E190 myself. Is that one any better from FSS? It appears the automation is still lacking. But if it is only the VNAV in its current state I can live with that. Looking forward KLM ops and LOT ops with that nice aircraft ๐Ÿ˜‰ Best regards, Peter
  6. I find it interesting, hence my appreciation the video was posted, but not exciting. The engines that power the Bugatti super cars I find interesting too, and the Koenigsegg and Zonda... but not exciting.
  7. Fully Charged did a video on electric Big boys.
  8. Today
  9. Yeah, my hard stop is keeping clouds ultra. Everything else can suffer since my focus is usually in the clouds flying. Haha. I have since switched back to Dynamic LOD using VERY small TLOD increments to help with stutters on TO and Approach/Final. So far so good. My hardware is limiting.
  10. Very impressed that this is simulated in a default aircraft. This is a conversation taken from the ini discord. Josh works for ini.
  11. Milwaukee to Detroit (the Older Midwest Cities) Hopefully, you enjoyed these images, your commentary is always appreciated...Darryl
  12. I can't believe this still hasn't been addressed by the stock sim. We were complaining about this in the tech alpha! Microsobo is way too stubborn for their own good.
  13. He mentioned city vs. rural. I use another mod, the free one on fs.to. I cut down all the numbers another 1/3. On the block of the street where I live the trees are no longer higher than the houses. So it did work in my city.
  14. This is the first youtube comparison video that I've seen. The mod has changed just one of the default Asobo files. Each line in that one file has two numbers which are minimum and maximum height for that particular species of grass, shrub, or tree. Therefore you can modify the mod yourself, such as removing somewhere around the same percentage from each number, such as maybe one fourth. To swap, just drop the mod or modified mod into community. Anyway, this guy's video, 5 days ago showing stock mod vs. default. (it's a payware $5 mod, not the free flightsim.to mod).
  15. Hello FS2Crew aviators, We are launching new experimental versions for our Animated FO product line today! These are experimental, but they're pretty solid. We recommend that all users install these experimental versions. If you have any issues, please report them to us on our Discord Support Channel. These "experimental" versions are only available as direct download links. They are not available via the FS2Crew Product Manager. If you don't own the animated FO FS2Crew expansion packs, you can purchase them at www.fs2crew.com Other FS2Crew news: Good news for "MSFS Marketplace PMDG 737 Aircraft Owners"! The animated FO may be able to support the "Marketplace" version of the PMDG 737 after all! As you know, the animated FO for the PMDG 737 only works with the PMDG website version due to Marketplace's encryption issues. However, we've found a way to support the Marketplace version of the 737 safely without causing any issues for the host aircraft should it ever be updated. We'll let you know next week! More good news for the animated FOs! As you know, the animated FOs are currently in "Generation 1." We are working on Generation 2, which will include some big improvements. The animated FOs are massively complex -but we're striving to improve them. PMDG 737 SOP 2 and 3 Animated FO: They will be coming soon! MSFS ATR version: We're almost at the release candidate stage! PMDG 777: There is no news since the 777 hasn't even been released yet, but we'll support it fully since the 777 is a major aircraft and one of the best! Flaps 15": Gear is now selected down before flaps are selected. * Improved logic so the autopilot doesn't accept invalid heading, altitude, or speed values from voice commands. * Improved: When using FS2Crew/GSX integration, the preflight sequence now waits for GSX to complete/finish the Catering/Refueling before the FA asks to start boarding. This is done by adding +2 minutes to the Preflight timer (the same system where the FA asks if she can close the cabin door). * Fixed: User settings retained after software updates. * Fixed: Battery switch issue during Electrical Powerup procedure (flow). * Fixed: Animated FO isn't reaching the checklist paper during the Secure Checklist. * Fixed: The main UI freezes when a checklist is started, causing the entire application to freeze and eventually dropping the SimConnect connection. * Fixed: In button control, the "REQ GSX PUSHBACK" secondary button is not showing because the "FO ATC REQUEST" option is checked. Fenix Animated FO (v1.3.97): * Improved logic so the autopilot doesn't accept invalid heading, altitude, or speed values from voice commands. * Improved: When using FS2Crew/GSX integration, the preflight sequence now waits for GSX to complete/finish the catering/refueling before the FA asks to start boarding. This is done by adding +2 minutes to the Preflight timer like it does with the stage where the FA asks for closed doors. FBW Animated FO (v1.3.131): * Improved logic so the autopilot doesn't accept invalid heading, altitude, or speed values from voice commands. * Improved: When using FS2Crew/GSX integration, the preflight sequence now waits for GSX to complete/finish the Catering/Refueling before the FA asks to start boarding. 16. hmm, those download images seem to be just .webp files which Irfanview can easily convert to .png files (using "save as"). And GNU or photoshop can modify that .png file. Such as changing the height and width of the person or pasting a face over on top of the old face. And then back to Irfanview to convert the .png back to .webp, taking care to have the same parameters as the original. This would work and be relatively easy. Yourself. A celebrity. Your favorite politician. Kids could make one for their school teacher. The coach of your team's rival. And then carefully fly the plane so that it doesn't crash. Or not.
  17. It's really up to you and the only way to find out is to try it. If you are concerned about clouds switching quality all the time, note that they (currently) only switch quality when you are at TLOD min and your FPS is still lower than your target FSP, ie as a last resort, and you can set the minimum TLOD level at which the clouds recover so the higher you set this the less likely you are to see cloud quality changing very often. In a soon to be released update, I will be expanding the cloud quality reduction feature to be trigger-able based on GPU load and act independently of TLOD automation.
  18. Not if one of them has a large belt or wearing a belly shirt lol. Either way, that is pretty cool you can do this in the sim!
  19. Stop the teasing or I will restart flying my Carenado planes!
  20. I don't know if I can resist....must resist....
  21. Chris, Very nice work on LFOX!!!! If I can help in any way don't hesitate to ask. Mitch
  22. Kerry, Absolutely! I really only need photos you have of the terminal buildings as there are very few. Even the versions of KSAV by MSFS 2020 and the current X-Plane are not even close to the real thing. I suspect the authors of those versions ran into the problem of limited material as well. But you would think theyโ€™d at least get the main appearance & dimensions from Google Earth. Yes anything you have you believe can assist would be hugely appreciated. Especially night images. Thank you. Mitch
