Externalities and the NGX

I noticed that too but I didn't know how to explain, so I just let it go. I still believe it has something to do with the cam angle and zoom and that thing Ryan said about trying to depict a 3D object in a 2D screen.

Question... I'm not 100% of the testing but is the plane in Beta testing yet (if not is there an estimated date or month that it will begin)
Nope. No beta and no estimation, but I think it will happen very soon. PMDG will let us know when beta starts.

Maybe. Depends on timezone. For you guys in the US, Canada and CA it's still early but here in Rio it's 11:15p.m. (0115Z) and for those in Europe, Asia and Oceania it's already tomorow!
Lol, I live in France, it's 2:30am, I am still browsing the PMDG forums for an UPDATE! :(

Oh, i am sure Ryan will come through with his promise of another update tonight.

Hey AAfan, I think you're right. Look at this picture:NGX_External_Preview_012.jpgIt's aproximately the same angle of the 3rd pic, with the blue highlighter and there's no significant zoom. I still don't see it as being a big deal because PMDG spent so much time in it and added so many features that this one we can let go, can't we?

That wing view looks so real, i don't know what is, it just looks real

Ryan V is right but... Less squared off flap flarings corners on the end required a bit more polys I think... Since this is no big deal I'm not sure PMDG will "correct" this detail...

Hey Ron, looks real doesn't it? The wing and all associated parts (flaps, fairings, spoilers, actuators etc) are all built to specs according to engineering drawings AND the textures are photoreal dirt, grease streaks and weathered effects. If you saw the photo Capt. Randazzo posted earlier today of Vin photographing the underside of the wing, well not only was he photographing parts but he was photographing the dirt as well. So the dirt and such you see there are real :-)Cheers,

okay the closer this thing gets to complete the more im freaking out. I have a feeling im going to find out that the more i get to know this bird the less i realise i knew about this bird before its release. The reason that scares me is because its been about 3 years of blood sweat and tears to build my full scale 737-800 cockpit and its getting closer to finished and im worried i may not be able to ever learn what i need to, to fly it properly. The manuals are the obvious key to it but talk about informaiton overload and we are only seeing the candy, not the intricate systems that play behind the scenes. I do in all honesty look forward to the challenge and suspect that learning to fly this baby like the pros is like going for black belt in martial arts. You start basic and work your way to the top. Here's some pics of my plane in action. Hope you like. oh and PMDG.........truly amazing work.....you are true artists. Mike Kendall

Did anyone catch this...Quoted from Facebook."The PMDG 737NGX climbing out of KRNT on its first flight after manufacture - headed to KPAE and then on to KBFI for flight testing and delivery preparations."Sounds like to me they are headed for beta and release.Been waiting and checking the site nearly everyday since 2006.

Maybe. The PMDG community tend to analyze every post by PMDG to the very word.
Does a real 737NGX have a hud?
Yes, just have a look at airliners.net. It is an option for airlines

You might want to check page 1 of the thread "A Little Heads Up on the NGX". That should answer your question.

Guys - please no more of this nitpicking the model stuff. I wasn't kidding when I said we made it off the actual engineering stuff they use to build the airplane. (In fact it's part of our agreement with them that we HAVE to use those figures and stuff) I'm not going to allow anything further like this, sorry.
