PMDG 737NGX Video

Featured Replies

Heres's a link to a video of the PMDG 737 NGX posted at Angle of Attack. Simply incredible!http://www.flyaoamedia.com/aoa/nicks-737ngx-cockpit-thoughts/
Good Lord, it's amazing! It's now getting to the point the sim is truly as real as it can be in a non-full motion simulator experience. This bird could be enough to nudge me to upgrade my machine which I am resisting I hope until the bitter end, which for me will be Ivy Bridge debut. I'll pick this bird up and stay clear of larger terminals! When is this thing going to be ready to deliver?Noel

It IS better than the iFly version, model included and it notices. Now... is it worth it? It'll be over $70 for sure and it's just another 737 (even if it is THE 737), i think they should have made something that we still lack like a PROPER 777 or maybe a PROPER Airbus collection. You can shoot me now and yes, i love Airbuses.
In all fairness, PMDG started working on this when there were no NG's in the pipeline. My guess is you're pretty accurate on the price point. I'm thinking more in the range of $80. The real question is which variants will be in the initial release, and which ones will they be? How will the additional variants be made available and at what price? These are questions that remain to be answered.

Hi,It should be obvious to anyone viewing the videos, that PMDG has dedicated an enormous amount of resources detailing the B737NGX to the EXTREME. Until this lovely lady is in MY hands and I have an opportunity to see for myself the handling/systems of this beauty, I'll reserve judgement. However, based on what I've seen in the videos, and their attention to the smallest detail in re-creating the 737NG, I'm sure its going to be a ground breaking, bar setting ultimate tubeliner.I'm looking forward to the day I'll have an opportunity to ferry this lovely lady to KATL.

I am more interested in the FPS than the pretty graphics. The iFly 737 does not perform acceptably on my computer. If PMDG ended up making the NGX perform as well as their MD-11 I will be very happy.I hope I won't need a new computer... :(

my guess is $110 USD.

Hi,Not sure if they are going to hit $110.00, but I would not be supprised if it was around $90.00.

No radar?
Per a search there's about ten separate threads on why there will not be one:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/319681-ngx-and-weather-radar/page__p__1884384__hl__weather+radar__fromsearch__1#entry1884384

I would imagine it to be aligned with their other high end products, such as the MD11... so $79.99 is my guess.

but its even higher fidelity ... so not likely gonna be priced at the price point.

I'm guessing it will be around their MD11 because they stated something to that effect on their forums. I seriously doubt it would be over 100 - that would almost be too much for me.

Tks but I dont watch that forum, which is why I asked here after sitting through that video. Seems to me thats a giant omission, considering it's go/nogo equipment on the 'real' thing.

This is very subjective... With the iFly alone in the market (yeah the Ariane really doesn't count 4 me) I really do feel like I (note that I say "I" and not "we") STILL need a proper NG simulation for FSX... By the way. I love Buses too. Especially the A330-200. rolleyes.gifLove.gif

Not sure if you've read through any of their forum posts but the reason they didn't include one is because FSX cannot detect precip realistically. The Wx radars in FSX are detecting and displaying clouds, not precip. Since this method is unrealistic they decided not to model the feature in their plane. Makes sense.

OK, it looks fantastic!!!! The performance reviews will be the deciding factor for me if I get it. Cant judge a book by its cover. I thought the vid was well done but a bit choppy at times which makes me wonder how she will handle KATL or KJFK. :( Jim
