July 15, 201312 yr Edit and amplify the flap wav file; I've done this on many planes with goofy or poor sound volumes. even amplifying the flaps sound is not working for me. I've been in a couple of these planes and the flaps sound very different from what aerosoft gave us here. Sent from my RM-820_nam_att_100 using Tapatalk Lerimer Santana
July 15, 201312 yr The whole sound set was supposed to be reworked, ie new engine sounds, internal sounds etc. Are they better than the old version or much the same? I am still trying to decide to buy it or not. The check list additions are not that important to me, flight model and sounds are. Virtual cockpit looks good but thats not prio 1 for me either. -Iain Watson-
July 15, 201312 yr The sound doesnt seem much different from the original, but the engines respond better, sounds alter wit engine power, flight dynamics are better, it it well worth it, and if you enter the serial from the original you get 20% off so go get it.. I dont use the checklist but might give it a go. Remember this is only part one, the other models wiill be added as a service pack.
July 15, 201312 yr I'm sure I read on the Aerosoft forums that the soundpack is a tweaked version of the original Twotter soundpack. A brand new soundpack is coming with the additional models. Dave Garwood.
July 15, 201312 yr Bought this add-on yesterday. It's freakin awesome. Thanks, Aerosoft! Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2 Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3

Correct, the current soundpack has been tweaked from the original, and a new soundpack will be added in the next service pack. Regards,Kyle
July 15, 201312 yr Bought this add-on yesterday. It's freakin awesome. Thanks, Aerosoft!Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2+1 Great plane. Already owned the original. $25 upgrade price for a re-skin is well worth it alone thanks Aerosoft. Can't wait to spend some more time in this one. I live a few miles from the factory and Kenn Borek and love this plane. As for RXP. I installed GNS530 and with a linkgps=on in the INI, the flight plan is depicted on the default one in the VC. Pretty convincing for now. So when you need to edit change the flight plan or load the approach, just pop up the rxp. The radios on the RXP and the default are linked as well so you can still use the 3D knobs in the panel to change freqs and toggle actives and also toggle vloc and gps mode without popping up the rxp. Hopefully Bert makes headway with Finn on displaying the Glide Slope when an LPV approach is loaded. Finn seems like a reasonable fellow so it should not be long. http://www.reality-xp.com/appcast/rxpGNS-32.html For those of us that want to replace the default 530 "screen" in behind the 3D model with the RXP one, all Aerosoft need to do is create a new Vcockpit reference in the VC model and panel.cfg and move their GPS there (only the dev can make that change). Then if people want to replace/lay their RXP GNS530 glass behind their 3D model without clipping into the other radios, they can. C.
July 15, 201312 yr Sound pack is currently not the highlight of this otherwise awesome product - but I wasn't aware that a full new sound pack was forthcoming - that's awesome news!
July 16, 201312 yr For those sitting on the fence waiting to buy.........get it. You're wasting days while we are all enjoying this beautiful aircraft. So there you go, open up that wallet, remove credit card and proceed to purchase. You won't regret it.
July 16, 201312 yr I'm loving this aircraft as well. Love the detailed graphics and the flight handling. Last night I took a flight from Billings to Helena in Montana and enjoyed the hour or so flight very much. I agree that the flaps sounds are barely audible and glad to hear that an updated sound-pack will be released. Alexander Alonso
July 16, 201312 yr er... I've gotta ask. would you be able to hear the flaps in a real twotter? over those two howling turboprops?
July 16, 201312 yr er... I've gotta ask. would you be able to hear the flaps in a real twotter? over those two howling turboprops? Certainly not while the engines are running that's for sure... In the real dhc6 you'll only hear them when lowering/raising them whilevthe engines are off...from experience on Liat/Carib/Winair they were barely audible sitting right under them...and not audible at all from any seat ahead or behind of them. The pilots wearing David clarks wouldn't hear them either... July 16, 201312 yr Just one thing though, does anyone see increase in rpm when bringing to idle with a slight decrease in rpm when pushing the throttles slightly forward?I've dialled in the right idle values in fsuipc and while the aircraft stays stationary at my idle position the rpms increase slightly. Weird. Could someone reply to this please, is it normal for the Twin Otter David Murden. July 16, 201312 yr It doesn't in reality...i think it's a MSFS thing (when the prop falls out of governed range it seems? Or when it goes to zero torque..). MSFS and beta range doesn't mix well...mjc and pmdg had to model all/some things outside fsx to simulate beta range properly. July 16, 201312 yr Thanks for that. The aircraft reacts properly, just a little strange seeing rpm increase when you are at idle. I'm used to it now. Great plane.
