November 15, 201312 yr I've slowed down my addon purchases in general, since they cost increasingly more money and I have progressively less. At the moment I'm hedging a bit - buying a few platform-independent tools like PFPX. If I look at an aircraft, I try to find out if it's supported in P3D. It's pretty easy for me to hedge, though, since P3D v2 is likely to be close, and once reviews come in, I can pick one "side" or the other. My buying pattern really hasn't changed that much - I'm being more careful in general, and the prospect of P3D is just one more thing to take into account. November 15, 201312 yr Not until the license can be obtained legally for "entertainment". I'll be all over it if that happens. -1 +1 Exactly. Plus PMDG aren't going anywhere near it. So the ongoing purchases for FSX continue.
November 15, 201312 yr -1 here too. Game changer would be 64-bit...otherwise, its just touched up code. Devin CYOW

November 16, 201312 yr -1 ... Without my precious RXP units P3Dv2 will be nothing more than a XP10 sim, a " /A Sim." By that I mean there's no real way to navigate using RNAV unless you have navigraph support. And since neither PMDG nor F1 have interest in it, means less HQ navigraph capable addons. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 16, 201312 yr negative one.. as long as most FSX products work with DX10, I am a happy camper. November 16, 201312 yr -1 not making the switch until all the major addon developers are onboard and have their existing products working fully with the new features P3D has.
November 16, 201312 yr I will be holding off as well. FSX is running great for me. Intel i7 10700K | Asus Maximus XII Hero | Asus TUF RTX 3090 | 32GB HyperX Fury 3200 DDR4 | 1TB Samsung M.2 (W11) | 2TB Samsung M.2 (MSFS2020) | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm AIO | 43" Samsung Q90B | 27" Asus Monitor
November 16, 201312 yr +1 gone as soon as I get an SSD. Having started with MS Flight then moving to FSX graphics have always been a disappointment with FSX. Too much tinkering not enough flying.
November 16, 201312 yr No, P3D is having no impact on my FSX addon purchases, though when v2 comes out I may give it a try. I assume it's OK to install P3D on the same system as FSX. Barry Friedman
