Malaysian 777 down in Ukraine

Featured Replies

That's the sad part. No one in Ukraine, Eurocontrol, and in surrounding, traffic feeding, countries recognized danger. Airlines neither.

If military jets keep crashing every day, that's a really big sign there's no room for civilian aircraft.

Because until this day, no one believed that they would shoot down a civilian plane going from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur... but they just did. However, big lesson learned the hard way..

I am off to work but I just wanted to say thanks to Tom Allensworth once again for moderating things. It is good to be able to bounce issues off each other on such events as this, helps to make sense of things.

Cheers guys.

Some Russian site is posting photos of the victims bodies tangled in the wreckage that's very distasteful.

Twitter is littered with them. One photo was taken from TV. There was a channel that showed it.

It really is awful, I am being really careful what links I click on now.  Everyone be warned, some really horrendous pictures are starting to be uploaded.

My deepest condolences to all that lost their lives in this act of terrorism which is actual proven now with movies and phone calls and even acknowledge by the foreign minister of the USA...

Crazy world we live in prefer the one without violence, because with we have only losers.

Dear God, I clicked through a warning message and now so wish I hadn't. Horribly mangled bodies, including one of a small child...

...it's going to take a long while to get those images out of my mind.

Though no evidence of any fault with the plane has been developed, it's been a tough couple of years for the Triple 7. RIP to the passengers and crew.

Thoughts are with the families of the passengers and crew. God bless.

A truly sad day. Cannot begin to comprehend the sorrow felt by hundreds of families today.

It doesnt leave you, Bill. I attended a crash site 30 years ago and the images have not left me.

My only consolation is that they are no longer in pain, and their souls at rest.

After I left the Army, I spent several years working as a Paramedic in Raleigh, NC. During those three years I saw a lot of horrible things. My final callout was to the scene of a hit-and-run where a nine year old boy riding his bike was killed. He was hit at such a high speed that his little body literally exploded and was strewn along the road for thirty feet.

After delivering the remains to the county morgue, I told my driver to take me home, and I'd come get my car later. I still have nightmares about it forty-two years later.
